Here's hoping that Crawford never gets another snap at DE.
He does the same thing at DT as DE, only his bullrushing style is more suited to coming up the middle. He's looked really good.
As an aside, having two Crawfords who both have a jersey ending in 8 on the DLine is super confusing lol
If he's not getting sacks, or called out by name by a telecaster, then it goes unnoticed. Just like Jason Hatcher's play did for years. But, yes, Crawford's played well all season. You can usually tell when his teammates are talking about a guy in camp that he's doing something right, and Tyrone seems to be no exception so far. His power is a bit more noticeable when he's closer to the QB, too. He was fun to watch last night, going up against a pretty good NO interior OL.
I bet he will, as soon as TMcClain gets back. As good as he looked last night, what we gained in inside pressure from him, we lost in pressure from the outside by not having him there. Jack Crawford got overexposed and Selvie didn't do a whole lot.
But I agree, with a fully healthy Spencer and when Lawrence finally gets on the field, I'd love to see Crawford get a majority of his snaps inside. Nickel fronts with Spencer-Melton-Crawford-Lawrence would be fun to watch.

He's much better at DT than DE IMO.
I'll have to look more closely at the line play later, but I had the impression Selvie played one of his most active games of the season last night. I think we'll see Spencer's snaps outside increase, too, over the coming weeks. I bet that pushes Crawford inside more. It'll be interesting, too, to see what happens to the snaps if/when Brent is on the roster.
Here's a post I made last night that has the snap counts for all the d-linemen in the game. I posted it way too late in the early hours...Selvie and Jack Crawford both had a lot of snaps and I didn't think either did too much with them. Spencer looked good for his first game back.

Great post, btw.
As I said, I'll have to look at the DL snaps again in more detail. I know Selvie didn't show much on the stat sheet, but I do recall a couple of plays thinking 'who was that' and it turned out to be Selvie. Knifing through the line or playing with some aggression and enthusiasm. But, no doubt, he's not showing up on the stat sheet as having made impact plays, and our DE pressure is definitely wanting, overall.
Be interesting to see if they rotate Crawford in for both Melton/Coleman and Hayden/TMcClain...........

Admittedly I may have missed some plus plays on his part. Watching replays and looking for who is on the field, you miss some of the actual performance sometimes. I was watcching the inside guys and Spencer more closely. I need to go back and watch Selvie's snaps again.
Crawford right now looks a mile better than Coleman at causing problems on the inside. I guess it comes down to which spots along the line need help the most, because he's the most versatile linemen we have and he may keep getting moved around where he's needed the most. I counted Crawford and Melton playing inside together for five snaps in the first half and one in the second. I think those were all on obvious passing downs.
Crawford has played pretty well all season. He isn't on pace for 20 sacks or anything like that but having him on the field has certainly been a plus.
