I spent an entire evening with him by accident at the Chateau Marmont. Years ago.
I bought him a drink, he bought me ten drinks and we just yakked it up like we were the best of friends and then we departed with a giant hug, a pocket full of stories and the exhalation of a ton of fear.
Because you could smell the Animal lurking at every moment.
Great guy, until you make him not a great guy.

We need a thread dedicated to Corso celebrity stories. Between almost nailing Jennifer Love Hewitt and getting sloshed with Iron Mike, even if they’re not true, I’ll still read them.

I would be a lot more interested in that kind of stuff than most of what fills the off topic zone now.

Jennifer Love Hewitt. I dream of biting down on them and praying for lockjaw.

They're true.
I know a few posters here who live in West Hollywood and they would absolutely vouch that if you live and run around that area, you're going to run into celebrities like crazy.
Most shy away, or ask for an autograph.
I tend to engage.

It's no big deal if nobody believes me though. It's not really important.

Edit: Of course, bear in mind most of my stories are from well over a decade ago. I work remotely now and I have zero love to getting back into that mix. I'm in my 40's and don't have the energy I used to for that lifestyle.

Lived. I left in '07 and never looked back.
And most of my stories I have left that I can remember off the top of my head I wouldn't want to go public.
I remember being invited by a producer who was interested in buying a screenplay of mine, but had some competition for my services so he invited me out for an evening at this place called The World.

Oh boy. Not cool. It was basically a gay club with sexual opportunities for the high and mighty with the staff and he assumed I was "cool" with it. I was not and saw a few people there that shocked me.

I do have a cool Christmas party story that... no. No. Let's just say it was at a director's house with the coolest indoor/outdoor pool and his Christmas tree was an ice sculpture and the branches were all... um... humpable?
One of the directors for some, or one of those X-Men movies.

I did enjoy that we went to this pancake place in the morning and the papaya pancakes were delectable.

My girl at the time was a low level model and I'm entirely certain she did a "casting couch" audition while I waited in the parking lot.
We broke up.

Truth, I have ran into many. I see most at The Grove though.

I used to work a couple blocks away on the Miracle Mile where the Jewish Consulate is. We had nothing to do with them, but had to have security clearance to enter the building anyways.
Right next to the Hustler HQ.

There are jerks everywhere. And Tyson is gonna be targeted.
He is of celebrity status.
Too bad he did not have his own security bodyguard with him.

But where was airport security that is supposed to be on board ? (hidden marshalls)
where was the airport stewardess ?
was there someone on board airport personnel wise that Tyson could have contacted with security concerns ?

Sure the jerk was harassing him " on purposely" trying to annoy Tyson- for sake of suing him for money
and there are claims that the jerk threw a water bottle at Mike, but legally he just cannot take to battering the
guy as such.

If i'm in the Tyson camp, and i'm eventually sued and have to settle out of court, i'm also
sueing the airport for failing to have security measures that should've stop this jerk.
The air marshals rotate flights. They don’t fly on every flight and they keep their schedules secret. The ideal behind that is nobody knows when and where they are working flights, so a hijacker is taking a big gamble if he tries to take the plane.

Those hijackers are so willing to sacrifice their lives for their beliefs,i would think they're not afraid or shy away from gambles.
I've always thought that to be able to combat and defense against them the best, we need to try to think -anticipate their intentions .

And a marshall isn't going to give himself away over something like this.

Guarantee if Holyfield had fought Tyson when Tyson was at his best Holyfield might have lasted three rounds.
Once Gus D'amato died Tyson went downhill real fast.

Like someone mentioned Cus died in 1985. Tyson started going downhill after he lost his invisibility to Buster Douglas and was convicted of rape and spent three years in prison. He was never the same fighter after he got out of prison. He didn’t fight Holyfield until after he got out of prison.

- Tyson also battled mental health such as maniac depression- frequent bouts of highs and lows, and he struggled with that.

- I've always questioned his legal attorney help with that rape conviction but its mute point now.
Irony that the movie Undisputed with Bing Rhames and Wesley Snipes seemed so based off events around Mike Tyson.

- Also, the ref in that Tyson- Buster fight cheated Tyson out of a 10 second count that would've ended the fight in KO in his favor.
But the ref started the 10 second count so late,.. that it bought Buster some time to recover enuff to beat the count, and continue the fight.
The final results speaks for itself as Tyson (who rumors had him partying it up with party ladies in Japan the night before the fight) ...
Eventually i think many things caused him to lose his drive and urge, and he was just fighting for the money.

- I'll never forget how i lost my PPV investment and dough spent on party beer-food bites just to see Tyson bite that ear off Holyfield and be disqualified early in the fight.
