Tyson Thompson made this team tonight

I'm basing this not only on his production (good numbers) but by the fact that Bill gave him the ball 6 straight plays/8 plays on the drive. Bill was testing how tough he was, just like he did with Julius last year. Bill doesn't do that to a player unless he really thinks something is there. He wanted to know if Tyson would quit or not and Tyson didn't.

Thursday I listened to the Ticket and heard Spags say that Parcells pulled Thompson into his golf cart after practice this past week and say, "You've got nothing to worry about."

I think he made the team long before this week.

Yikes, that almost sounds like the owner calling the head coach/team manager into the office for a sit down.

I'm not that old but in my experience with sports that vote of confidence more often than not usually precludes the kiss of death.

I do think he'll make the team but I hope that the Cowboys aren't softening him up for a cut and sign.

How do you figure he wont make the team. We probably wont carry a FB since our base O is 2 TE, and Jones runs better out of single back sets anyway. No way Thompson clears waivers.

I want to see more of him. I only saw via NFL Network so just glimpses. He is not seeing the field well yet. He missed two big holes not bouncing it outside. I'd like to see better lateral movement.

But he has too much to not carry. And even with the misses he was still productive. I like him.
