Dude has been around for a while now and probably had his worst season last year (benched on KO returns). Still, assuming Jones isn't coming back and we draft a RB that still leaves us relying on TT to fill in at some capacity if either Barber or the rookie miss some time. Do you guys feel we need an upgrade over TT as the 3rd string RB, either a vet like Foster or a later round pick?

Garrett has shown zero willingness to give him a shot in backfield, other than in the last Commanders game, in which his production amounted to falling down after taking the handoff. Parcells actually seemed to like him and it looked like he was trying to get him some more playing time in 2006 before he went down with an injury. Anyone think Bill would be willing to trade a late round pick for his guy? Many on this board thought he was a future starter here at one point

He's gone...his biggest worry in Dallas at this point is not letting the door hitting him on the way out.

Not much chance for a trade... he's a RFA and a qualifying tender gets us no pick in return (he was undrafted). If Parcells likes him, it's more likely he just gets him a high offer sheet that's frontloaded (signing bonus, short length) that we won't match.

Rock Cartwright should be his replacement. and while i'm at it Shawn Springs should be Reeves replacement.

Do free agents get to practice with the team or is it too risky for both sides?

He's had THREE training camps and reg. seasons to prove he's something more than a 50-53 man on the roster. He obviously hasn't done that. Time to ove on!

Thompson looked pretty decent in the preseason. But, once again, he was a non-factor once they started using live bullets. Oh well, at least he finished the season "healthy" this time. 3.6 YPC, 3 fumbles, 1 TD for a career. That's three years too many. Adios TT, nice knowing you - NOT.

I thought they were just hangin on to him cos he was a good mudder. Kinda like Lincoln Coleman.

I really thought at first anyway that BP kinda liked the kid for whatever reason. But he couldn't stay healthy even with his very limited action on special teams.

I was rooting for him early on, but now I say adios amigo.

Now watch him go to a team in our division and roll for 250 yards vs. us this season. After the game, he'll be talking about how the Cowboys "never really gave me a chance."

one word, trash

I think that's a bit harsh. If he was picked in the first 4 rounds, that statement would be justified, but he was a udfa who helped on ST before he broke his leg. I hope he finds more of an opportunity somewhere else.
