I think he played really well. Philly knew we were running when he got the bulk of his carries, and he got a good amount of yardage. His initial burst is good, and he's quick to the outside. I love how if there's a hole, he's gonna hit it hard. His drawback seems to be ball protection. I also don't like his ability in the open field. He doesn't seem to elude tacklers very well 1 on 1. But he's a nice change of pace option.

he couldnt even allude the kicker on the kickoff return

lol

but he does have some speed!

the kid is a keeper - his speed is something you can't teach, as they say, and his ballhandling SHOULD improve thru coaching. his style is different but seems to get the job done...

great speed and good size, but the scouting report I had back from the draft seems to be right on about him...very straight line type runner with little ability to make anyone miss, and questionable ball safety

he got bailed out by replay yesterday, but he's got to learn to hold onto the ball better

David

I kept waiting for him to break one. Seemed to be on the edge of getting a home run on most carries. Just find the handle and hang on to the ball!

I love watching this kid play.....he runs very hard and trys to protect the ball......he will break one to the house before the year is over!

I was actually a little bit nervous to see him bang into a pile of defenders. It was like a fumble-in-waiting. I think he should protect the ball better. A fumble was not bad when we were up 33-10 but it would be a diaster if we try to proctect our lead like 17-14.

My question is: Why is it that he is the only RB on our team who can consistently find the whole? All the rest seem to run into the back of the blockers? Hhhhm.

yesterday:

J Jones 16 carries for 72 yds
Thompson had 75 yds on 20 carries

for the year the two yds per carry are virtually identical

please dont try to insinuate that Tyson Thompson is a better RB than Julius Jones...

David

I think Thompson may find himself on the bench if the doesn't get the ball put away. The only reason, IMO, he wasn't pulled yesterday was because of JJs situation. Had JJ been 100%, Thompson would not have been on the field.

I was making an observation and I can insinuate anything I want. Please don't tell me what to insinuate. You people are anal retentive. I just asked a question. If you have an answer, provide it. If you don't, please just overlook the post. Thanking you in advance.

Props to "Someone Named" Tyson Thompson. Great game in relief.

And it wasn't just yesterday. Everytime he comes in the game he finds the hole.

Has anymore been said about JJ's iinjury???????

I'm pretty sure he's alright and would've re-entered the game had it not been a blowout.

Great game but I'm still baffled why he didn't simply shift back outside on the opening kickoff..

I agree, even when Bill was asked right after halftime he indicated that Jones would be alright.

still has some things to work on as people said. but i dont know how you cannot be excited about this guy. comes outta nowhere, and he's doing so well. really hits the hole well, and if he keeps getting this many chances, he WILL have a big play.
