Glad Tyson wasn't knocked down, I think Paul held back, no one wants that.
He might have but there was a stipulation in the Tyson contract that he wasn’t allowed to knock out Paul. This was all a show to try bringing back relevancy to a dying sport. It went swimmingly under the Jerrys’ Bigtop :muttley:

Wonder how much Jerry made off the Tyson’s paul fight held in cowboys stadium in front of 72 k audience and I’m sure many million watching world wide

Even at 58 Mike can still box in terms of avoiding a big knockout. Paul used his longer reach to avoid letting Mike get inside for potential big shot

That said Paul a class act bowing to Tyson with still a few second on the clock

Also well spoken re the US and those who make us great

Dude, if you think Tyson didn't hold back too, you're crazy. I saw several times he could have landed a fantastic hit but didn't follow through and he kept biting his glove as a reminder to keep from throwing. That was rigged. Sure, Tyson was old and tired, but they were both holding back.

Yup, even an old Tyson would have attacked which he rarely tried tonight. It was scripted to go the distance and for Paul to win.

I just watched it. It was about what I expected. When I had an antenna, broadcast TV occasionally showed boxing on weekend evenings. The lower-weight classes were usually pretty good. But whenever there was a heavyweight match on the card, it looked a lot like this.

Didn’t think Tyson would throw the fight. Shows you how naive I am lol

I don't think Tyson was holding back. I think at 58 he has nothing left to hold back. I do think Paul was pulling his punches. But this was just an exhibition no matter what you call it. Those wanting to see the old Mike Tyson were disappointed but never should have expected it in the first place. Tyson looked to be in great shape, for a 58 year old, but his reflexes, strength, hand speed were just not good enough anymore to take on a 27 year old in his prime. I am happy he got paid but expecting him to win was a dream.

I didn't even get to watch it. Netflix crapped the bed for my myself and my buddy.

Seems to me that was just a reality TV stunt and not a real fight. Completely worthless as all Reality TV is.

I did enjoy the Katie Taylor / Amanda Serrano fight and the Mario Barrios / Dak Prescott err Abel Ramos fight also.

I have to admit, I fell for it. I was pumped for the fight. After a night of sleep, it definitely felt gimmicky. I'm sure they both held back a little bit. Even at 58, and you could definitely tell Tyson's age was affecting him, I still feel like he could've landed some better punches. I'm sure this was a money grab for both parties and Paul got to fight his hero (as a senior citizen lol).

Either way, sucks watching athletes from your childhood getting old. Even Iron Mike Tyson can't KO Father Time.

He didn’t hold back, his age held him back. He was off balance and had some lower body injuries going on. You can’t generate power if your hips are frozen. It looked like a 58 year old man facing a prime athlete.

Say what you will about Jake Paul, but he’s got some skills.

I saw several times Paul let his guard down, Tyson saw it, almost went for it and held back. I'm not disparaging Paul's skills, but you could SEE Tyson seeing the opportunities. I'm not saying his age didn't affect him a great deal, but he held back. Paul absolutely showed skill and looked to be holding back too.
