Uber or Lyft a good way to get to the airport and back?

I'm going on a trip out of the country. I've never used Uber or Lyft. I'm sure leaving will be fine. Need to be at the airport at 4:30 PM. However, coming back I'm arriving really late, just after midnight. I'm in Omaha, NE. Can I count on an Uber or a Lyft that late in a small city like Omaha? Or can I just schedule way in advance? I've never used either service.

Is Omaha that small of a city? I would think you should be fine, brother.

They have airports in Nebraska?? I thought they used dogsleds or snowshoes? !

Take a taxi. No need to be so fancy. Have a good trip.

See if the airport has a shuttle service, most large airports do......not sure about where you are though.

Omaha has a population of about 450K and is just across the Missouri River from Council Bluffs, Iowa, population 62K, so the area is roughly half a million people.

I travel for work and use Uber all the time. I for an Uber at 2am in Bloomington, Illinois so I think you'll be fine.

Good service.

big user of Uber. The convenience, not to mention the reasonable cost, the app and service provides is incredible. Being able to see cars that are available on a map in relation to your location and an estimated ETA really helps in planning, etc. Not having to deal with cash and knowing the cost ahead of time makes for a clean transaction. It can get tricky though during high demand periods (ie holidays) as the cost algorithm works on supply vs demand so you could quickly see the rate multiply. I suggest using both apps, the more options the better. Since discovering, calling a cab has become my last resort.

Very easy. I use it a lot while traveling from airport and also while getting around in the city. If I was a female, I would suggest using caution though. Either go with someone else or make sure you text the information of your driver to someone. I know there have been a few incidents. I would say it is as safe as any other service but I would use some caution if you are a female and by yourself.
