The Connecticut Huskies have fired football coach Paul Pasqualoni as part of a staff shakeup, athletics director Warde Manuel announced Monday morning.

Yup.

I told people that he would be a disaster at UConn. He made his life off of Dick MacPherson who hired the idiot and then made him the successor and stockpiled talent. That gave him 10 years of quality recruiting. Once the high school players started to see him as a joke and that he was using a 1980's offense, he couldn't quite get the talent and he took Syracuse football down with him.

The only difference here is that Randy Edsall handed him over a decent program with a decent talent pool instead of MacPherson handing him a good program with a really good talent pool.

More often than not, you get what you pay for.
