Sign me up as excited about the defense, we haven't had an exceptional D for decades! This defense is going to be absolutely a kick in the pants to watch..
One month to go and it all starts!

Is he a LB or DE? I seen him listed as both. Same for Wheat, listed as both.
You are one of those types. No use for those types.
I think what I’ve enjoyed most is that it appears Dan backed off this off-season a bit. Nashon was so CLEARLY a Dan pick and I think this year he kinda just communicated what he wanted to the scouts and let them tell him who would be best. I think if there’s one guy I feel will be a bust from this class it would be Overshown. He just seems so confused and slow to process things on tape at the college level2020 draft: 3rd round Neville Gallimore, 4th round Reggie Robinson
2021 draft: 2nd round pick Kelvin Joseph, 3rd round Nashon Wright
So we can all act like this guy is god, but he has had some big whiffs.
Love what he did getting the safeties in here. None of the linebackers have panned out yet, but I expect a couple to.
Parsons was the big pick and that was an easy easy one. That pretty much made our defense.
Bland is a really nice pick. Diggs fell into out laps in the 2nd. Golston is eh. Osa I guess we can say was a solid pick.
Isaiah Land the LB out of Florida A & M was on Quinn’s radar when scouting Marquise Bell last year . It’s exciting to think of the young LB’s Dallas has under the fold that can run attack the ball given the nature of teams in the East who like to run the ball .
Here’s hoping as well that more of Bell is seen at safety this year .
I'm wondering if he sees him as a Parsons-type linebacker, maybe a player who can eventually back the Lion up to give him some snaps off since he also seems to be the kind of LB that is more of a pass rusher. Obviously, the likelihood of him being anything close to Parsons is very low, but maybe he can be a poor man's version that at least allows Parsons some breaks. That's a very good sign for Land if Quinn likes him. He's one of 3-4 prospects that I'm most excited to watch from our current UDFA crop. I'm also intrigued by Cropper, Luepke, and David Durden.
If it's going to happen it would be at LB or corner. On paper it's hard to find spots elsewhere. The defense is loaded. It will be tough for a UFDA to make the cut.
This will be determined, of course, in preseason. However, if you are correct with Quinn's vision, then that means we could have a situation where we have DO and Micah Parsons on opposite sides and Land and Sam Williams rotating or being used in packages. That could be a never-ending onslaught for the QB to have to deal with.I'm wondering if he sees him as a Parsons-type linebacker, maybe a player who can eventually back the Lion up to give him some snaps off since he also seems to be the kind of LB that is more of a pass rusher. Think it's a long journey for him, though, that may see him on the PS for a year while Quinn gets him where he needs to be ... unless he just shows too much to be a PS candidate.
Hes going to be that kerse type. We shall see. I would have taken a great young back there.I think what I’ve enjoyed most is that it appears Dan backed off this off-season a bit. Agreed. Altho its fun fandom and optimistic to hope that all draft picks and UDFAs can come in and instantly elevate the defense to a higher, insane level... logistically and realistically we need to just hope for MAYBE one or two from said class to even have a meaningful impact. They need to be coached, groomed and also... they need to grow, physically. The defense is loaded. It will be tough for a UFDA to make the cut.

I can believe it, and I look forward to watching how it unfolds in camp. It’s said it’s one of the better UDFA class in Dallas history .
