1. There is the draft. Eight or nine guys.

2. There are the reported UDFA signings, but you are not sure until the last minute maybe Thursday. Those are another 15 or so guys.

3. Then there are another 15 or so guys coming in this weekend for tryouts. Not to be sneezed at in the roster picture. J. Showers last year was one. Tyler Patmon in 2014 was another. Chris Whaley (?) was in there can't remember.

Reported today we got Chris Brown the QB (not the N Dame receiver) from Cal Poly dad gum he might press Dak for a roster spot ..

I wish we had about 10 QB prospects coming in for tryout.

It is possible that if a player hasn't exactly signed a contract yet, we could give guaranteed money to and exceed our UDFA budget (which is what about $80K bonus total) .. we did that for someone a few years ago maybe Leary ..

In the days to come we will read that players committed to teams don't really have ink on paper ha ha ..

According to his twitter account, we also signed Chris Brown the ND WR. I liked the following comment...

Read that he's being tried as a QB and WR.

Wont be any good. Back up at best. How come no one drafted him? He will keep us from drafting a real QB.

I got it covered guys, no need to post how stupid Jerry is. Youre welcome.

Chris Whaley was an UDFA a few years back. Knew he would be a red shirt type player. But then last year was injured again. I don't think it was the same knew, or if it was it was a different tendon. But not even sure of that.

Will see what he can do, but probably will be a PS type player the way I see it now. He was one of the players I was pulling for to make the team.

I just wanted to let you know that I liked you because your Avi is Epic.
And you're, like, kind of, like, a good poster and stuff.
And I thought there was no UDFA budget, but the cap, but I may be behind the times (and maybe the thread, at that, as I have neglected to move forward from the OP) on this information, as it may be.

Edit: You know what? I'm just going to "Like" you til the fancy leaves me.

I remember dining in San Luis Obispo years ago and they were going through a drought so bad that the restaurants weren't even serving water at all.

Thank you Corso I cringe ESPN gameday. Dan McDowell especially.

Yes I'm not an expert (yes we have no bananas) .. but a few years ago it was about $60K UDFA signing bonus I figure since then maybe a little more. .. I think some team I can't remember was dropping a few hundred thousand and signing every UDFA so the league had to step in ..

There is nothing better than Curly Howard. When the Fort Worth T&P (?) train station was totally closed I think 1970 or earlier? .. so maybe in the late 70s or very early 80s my bro went over for an antique sale I went along not too happy but the depot was amazing .. I found an unlocked door into the old terminal from the front room where the sale was taking place. That was the beautiful sandstone building on the highway back then, I-30 right next to downtown there, I think the post office building was about as big (really, a post office building that big?) anyway those two sandstone buildings side by side and they still are but back then they were more of a monument then they are now .. beautiful stuff and about the most iconic spots in FW then.

The terminal waiting/boarding room. It was exactly as it was when it closed. That whole cool T&P Depot was about ready for demolition. Dust everywhere. The plates were on the table in the diner, a few anyway. Amazing frescoes, almost stained glass windows looking in, ghosts everywhere. A cathedral where you could hear a whisper. Not a soul had ventured in for years. There was marble everywhere. Huge chandeliers. A church that had been abandoned. Every step I made echoed. I spent hours there poking around. No one else came in. I stayed until it was too dark to see. I walked with little cat feet afraid the spell would break. I couldn't believe my good luck.

There was a pix on the wall in a corner obscure spot of Moe, Larry, Curly Howard walking beside the tracks on the platform - they had just got off and they each had a little suitcase. 1935-38 or so. They were kind of arguing. The shot was taken directly in front of them they had no idea they weren't posing but true to life - no fans, no one knew who they were at the moment. Just the stooges walking talking arguing, on the empty platform, the train in back. A perfect photo. No doubt Amon Carter paid them a bunch for a personal appearance there. Very charming. I wish I had just kind of put it under my coat .. That was the Three Stooges in Fort Worth. I hope that picture resurfaces on the Web. As a Stooges fan it was the best most perfect picture I have ever seen of the real-life essential-era best-of stooges when they were healthy, young, funny. Original print. Yeah I should have stole it. The guys so full of life, the print looked 3D and full of life itself. I haven't seen it on the Web yet hope it pops up.

Now they are condos.
