The cowboys signed Chris Whaley as FA but he will likely have a redshirt year. May not be ready for training camp but wanted stash him away

Whaley is the perfect project for Marinelli. I would have been happy with him as a 7th rounder, moreso that he is here at a UDFA. If he can spend the year on IR, that's even better than the practice squad in the big picture.

I liked him early on but the more I watched, the more this came true. He struggles big time in coverage.

Should bulk up and play SLB in a 4-3.
