UFC 128:Shogun VS. Jones

Jones <3

They need to take that L off his record. It's so misleading to people who don't follow the sport. That fight against MH was probably his most dominating to date.

Jones is a new breed, from the first time i saw him he's done nothing but amaze. He's the most exciting fighter there is right now and he's only 23, the sky is the limit for this kid

Shogun looked like he did coming off a injury which he was (again) but even at 100% i very much doubt he could take Jones

It looked like a man among a kid...........even if shogun was 100%, it was way more dominant then I expected.

Jon Jones is the future, the only 1 I see beating him is JDS at HW

The only one that has a chance at stopping him is a dominant wrestler in the mold of Cain Velasquez. If you can't stop Jones from taking you down, you are doomed.

I knew Jones would be special from he debut but didn't see him climbing the mountain quite so quickly, the kid is gifted.

And it's one thing to just have ridiculous strength like Brock, but Jones actually has very real skills.

If his legs weren't so skinny, there's no way he'd make 205. :laugh2:

I think he's going to toss Rashad out of the ring and win by Ring Out.

I love to see a good body shot.

Having a guy fold because of a body shot is far more impressive than seeing a guy's lights go out because of a haymaker.

That was a very impressive ending. He was landing shots and in a situation when a lot of guys would have fixated on the knockout, he took what was given to him and destroyed the midsection.

Yeah that fight is going to be a blowout.

Phil Davis is a freak talent too.

Really wish Phil would get away from Alliance and Brandon Vera to go train somewhere else. If he would go train with Duke Roufus at his Academy, or train with someone like Javier Mendez at AKA, Davis would be among the elite right now.

Instead, his striking is still raw and needs ALOT of refinement. If that ever happens, the sky is the limit for Davis. If he can take a few more fights to tighten up his striking, a match between he and Jon Jones could be a war.

Jon Jones is just a freak. Dang that guy is freaking good.

Was I the only one though who felt like it looked like Shogun gassed really early again? Similiar to his first two UFC fights with Griffin and Coleman? He just seemed to be totally spent after the first round.

He looked in terrible shape again, honestly i think he's done as a top tier fighter he just doesn't seem able to stay healthy. He was fighting a injury for most of the year leading up to this fight. It's like the 3rd time in the last 4 years or something like that. He's still capable of being really good but he can't seem to sustain it for any length of time without getting hurt
