Thought I'd make the threat and await the usual crew of MMA watchers. You know who you all are. Even though we rarely all agree on one thing, I enjoy the talk after each event.

So how about that card?

I had RDA on my parlay and was my pick to win based on his style but he was much more dominant than I would have thought. Very nice to see him go from the bottom to having his family and kid hold his belt in him. Well deserved.

Overeem also looked like Mega Jon Jones vs Nelson. The Reem is starting to fight alot smarter, but I still cringe any time he gets hit.

Lastly R.I.P Carla, that was a rough one.

Tremendous card. I bought the PPV. I was happy to see Joanna take that title. Though I didn't think she could defend the take downs enough to get the win, I knew she was so much the superior striker. Carla couldn't win a fight on the feet. That was embarrassingly lopsided for the former champion. The two best Strawweights out there are Joanna and Gadelha. They fought to pretty much a draw last year. I had Gadelha by the slimmest of margins but the judges went with Joanna. To me, there's a significant gap between those two and the rest in the division.

I was stunned to see RDA dominate for 5 rounds. I'm starting to think Pettis is overrated. Melendez was beating him too before the submission. Good, slick fighter but this talk of best pound for pound is a little much for me. He's flashy but he fights backing up. I expect Khabib to take that title from RDA. He dominated him when they fought. It wasn't close.

It's only a matter of time before the Welterweight belt is back with Hendricks. I didn't think he lost that fight to Lawler. He lost the 5th round but he didn't lose the fight.

Sergio Pettis was looking great until getting caught on the chin. This is the 3rd time he's been rocked in the UFC and this time was at Flyweight. Not good.

Joseph Duffy, the last man to beat Conor McGregor (when McGregor was just starting out), looked like a beast. He's one to watch.

Lastly, Roy Nelson is probably one of the toughest human beings on the planet. He took enough punishment to drop three men last night.

Very good PPV. I was shocked how easily RDA handled Pettis. Pettis needs to work on his takedown defense. I thought the Brown vs Hendricks fight would have more action too much lay and pray by Hendricks. Joanna was very impressive I don't recall seeing a champ dominated like that. Did anyone see when the showed DeMarco sitting in the audience and the crowd booing?

I remember when RDA was such a bottom to mid level fighter. I don't know if he can sustain this but he is a different fighter 200%. To TKO Bendo AND dominate Pettis is remarkable. I had RDA winning due to his willingness to stay inside and grind, where Pettis is most vulnerable. Gilbert simply got caught but was doing fairly well in that matchup, and I can't shake the image of Guida sticking to Pettis and beating him.

Pettis is a very flashy striker that must stay at range. If he isn't at range, he is still very good but not elite then. The p4p was a little much when they promoted him. I think Khabib will hold onto the belt for a while to be honest. Granted RDA can always improve his wrestling but Khabib will be on a different level.

Khabib 1 and RDA 2 (if he continues this pace) will really keep a bottleneck at the top of division unless the other fighters improve their game. This is coming from a Cerrone fan as well.

Hendricks looked alot better that he wasn't on that Dolce diet. I figured he would win if he used his wrestling more. Matt Brown simply just doesn't have the wrestling background that Hendricks has. I would like to see Hendricks fight Lombard if/when he ever gets off his PED suspension.

Roy Nelson's pot belly probably saved him from much more punishment. Those kicks and knees to the body were brutal. Overeem fought smart.

Was a great PPV, even the Pre-lims were good. I was in section 308 sitting next to a drunk dude with his own flask.

It was a great PPV but all the reports I'm hearing is that it was not a big seller. Supposedly the worst selling PPV of the new year so far. 184 was a terrible card but Rousey made it a big seller. I guess Showtime doesn't have the same kind of drawing power.

tough night for champs.

pettis was manhandled and that shocked me.
gonna be interesting to see rda go forward.
sometimes match ups make fights.
155 may be like that for a while.

didn't know what to make of carla's opponent tho her takedown defense was insane.

overeem is always nasty til he gasses or gets hit hard.
thought he did a much better job in both areas.
working with jackson/wink looks good on him.

big country may be about done.

very competitive card, lots of upsets.
