Rampage was training with bums when they fought in Pride. up until 6 months ago Rampage was getting trained by Oscar De La Hoya's old coach. you saw the left hook.

Thats true, but I still think Rampage could have beaten Silva if they would have fought first instead of Rampage fighting Chuck and then Silva immediately afterwards.

All 3 were good fights. I guess I should stick to watching and leave the predictions to some one else, 0 for 3 wont get it done.

I wouldn't go that far. Belfort absolutely owned him at UFC Brazil awhile back. I never liked Prides tournament. I think Rampage lost to Silva because he had to go through Lidell first and that probably took alot out of him. Meanwhile I think Silva knocked his guy out fairly quickly and then they met.

Silva held the Pride middle weight belt for like 5 years only losses he had at the time was open the weight tournament until Henderson finally got him but he really hasn't been the same since the Crocop loss which was the fight before that.

Sliva beat Rampage twice and Shogun beat him the exact same way Silva did, it had nothing to do with who fought who first, Rampage had some flaws in his game back which they exploited. Rampage has since corrected those flaws and is a much better fighter now while Silva is a shell of his formor self

Didn't see it, but I thought Silva was some kind of unbeatable fighter.

Your thinking of Anderson Silva, not Wanderlei. Wanderlei used to be top 2-3 light heavyweight but he hasn't been the same since the Crocop and Henderson fights. Rampage has improved while Wanderlei has regressed, probably due to some of the war's he has been in.

I still can't get over how awesome Mir looked tonight. You could tell he trained his butt off for this fight.

I'm brand new to this stuff. I just knew the name Silva.

My bad.

Thanks.

Mir looked great but stand up won't get him far with Lesnar.

He'll need another Frank Miracle to beat Brock.

Why would it not? Besides being heavy handed, Brock brings no technical striking to speak of.

If Brock decides to be a wrestler, he comes into Frank's world. If he stands with Frank, he needs to catch him with that one hard punch, otherwise he will be picked apart.

If anyone needs a miracle, it may be Brock.

And I know, I know. Brock dropped him, blah blah blah. Take that and 99 cents and buy me a cheap bag of chips.

Brock didnt just drop him. He dominated him.

If it goes to the ground I agree Frank could find a way to win.

But unless Brock is dumb enough to fall for the same thing twice than he isn't losing.

Lesnar is just so much more physicaly dominant and Mir will have to pull off some luck to beat Brock again.

Brock can take Lesnars stand up. We know Mir can't take his.

How do you "dominate" anyone in a 90 second match that you lose? He took him down, cracked him in the back of the head with a few punches, then got stood up. He cracked him with a hard punch, but could not finish him. Mir withstood that quick flurry and was able to finish him.

Get off the hype train. Brock is talented, but green. He punches hard and is a good wrestler, but has shown to offer little else. If Mir continues to progress with Hahn as a technical striker, Lesnar will only be looking for a hard punch and nothing else.

The equivalent of what you are saying is like saying since Marcus Davis punches hard, he stands a great chance at GSP. Yes, he has a punchers chance, but what else would even Davis offer that gives him a chance at GSP?

Go to the ground? Nope.

Try to out box him? Nope.

What can Lesnar do besides look for one hard punch?

Tonight you saw Mir absolutely dominant a damm good striker in Big Nog. He made Nog look absolutely awful and that is something no one in the history of this sport has been able to do. Even Fedor cannot lay claim to being this dominant against someone like Nog.

Please, explain where Lesnar takes this game at besides looking for one punch the entire fight.

Thats the thing.

If it was all about being technical Lesnar wouldn't have a shot. He wouldn't have even won the Cotoure fight.

Lesnar can take what ever stand up Mir has. If its a stand up fight Lesnar is going to win that battle.

For Mir to beat Lesnar he will have to submit him.

Lesnar is a monster with an all american back ground in wrestling.

There is no guarantees Mir will train as hard either. Brock gives everything he has for anything he does. Its his life.

Couture was a 45 year old man. Limited power. Limited speed. He put it on display in the fight. If you think that was the same Couture we have seen for years then we need not discuss this anymore.

You're giving Lesnar a punchers chance, but thinking that punchers chance will make him roll over Mir when he has no single capability besides a hard punch that can allow him to beat Mir. That's nuts.

Coutures age had absolutely nothing to do with him getting beat.

That guy is in just of good of shape as anyone in the UFC.

Coutures age is just an excuse and if you watch the fight you can clearly see Coutures age factored in 0. He was fighting a heck of a fight.

He just got caught by a Lesnar punch.

IMO Couture looked better in his loss than Mir did in his win vs Lesnar.

The way Mir beat Lesnar was about like when Brunell to Santana Moss beat us a few years back.

Lesnar is so powerful and can take so much punishment that he will be hard to beat.

Mir can submit him but if its a stand up fight Mir will need to get lucky again.

Couture's age had alot to do with him getting beat. If you believe he was as strong, fast and agile at 45 than most fighters, then I do not know what to say. You buy into the hype a little too much that Rogan and Goldberg feed when it comes to these fighters. You really believe Couture is not prone to aging?

How do you know Lesnar can take punishment? He has fought in 4 career fights and no one has pushed him yet by taking that hard shot that rattles him.

Again, you are giving Lesnar nothing but a punchers chance and giving him a great chance for just that. From a purely striking standpoint when has Lesnar ever shown a hint of technical striking like Mir did last night?

I really do not think you understand the type of performance Mir put on last night. Not only was he able to finish Nog, which has NEVER been done, but he outclassed him completely which is something no one can lay claim too.

Maybe you just do not realize how good a striker Nogueira has been in his career. And maybe you just do not realize what Mir did last night in completely dissecting him.

C'mon man, get off the hype train.
