As of right now there are 14 teams who wont even finish .500 and that number is probably 17 since the bucs rams and jets probably lose 2 out of their last 3. Injuries are hitting the league hard on all 32 teams. I think that shortened offseason really was a bad idea. Players got what they wanted and are paying for it. Some real ugly football this yr

It's been trending this way for a while now. The product on the field is watered down football but the casual fans eat it up and the league sees more revenue from parity in the league today so expect it to only get worse. Add into that all the knee jerk safety rules every year and the players getting to dictate practice more and more...

With salary cap, there could be 32, 8-8 teams one day. That is why having a good GM and good coaching is so important these days.

The one thing i hate about the game today is the rules.

This really has been a sloppy season. More teams are doing worse, there's far fewer TDs and far more INTs.

The game has turned into a combination of arena football and basketball on grass via the rules to promote offense. Add to that college turns out nothing but spread offenses where the lineman have no idea what run blocking means and you then have the product we call modern NFL football. It gets worse every year.

Except TDs are down and INTs are up...
