Throughout Emmitt's career I noticed Emmitt always had his belt unbuckled.

Is it superstition or just didn't like it?

I've noticed Julius doesn't buckle his either.
I have always wondered about that and I have never noticed it come up in an interview or anything.
Is it common with NFL players?

I have never noticed in action shots, just still shots.

As picky as the NFL is about things like this, I'm surprised they haven't banned it.

It is probably to keep from having it poke them when they are hit.

You never know when you might have to drop trou (for a wide variety of reasons). Why even bother buckling up your pants?

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone have any names of good lawyers for fighting a totally bogus indecent exposure charge?

the Julius Jones rule now, No unbuckled belts or 15 yards for something stupid. If a cowboy does it, they will make a rule against it. They did it with Emmitt and Roy. Here comes JJ and then when Wares tackeling the QB too hard they will make the Ware rule where you cant hit the QB at all.

Nice whine. Very impressive.

Your so wrong its not funny. I assume you just love to throw insults around for the kcks of it. I wasn't whining. It may have sounded like it, but infact, it was just a off handed play on the fact we have two rules inacted due to the actions of cowboy players. A small jest or poke at the NFL, but not a whine. Quite being so ugly and quick to slap pple around. :banghead:

From playing football, that belt really makes it hard to breathe. I think its more of a comfort level because that belt can cut into your stomach and cause problems to exhale. We had to buckle up, but players really don't do it tight, most players keep it loose or get pants that go up on the stomach.

Yeah and its sweet too, McFarlane pays close attention to detail. Have you seen the Troy and Julius? He does good work.
