Josh Downs?Haven’t seen many talk about downs out of unc what round is he projected? I think he’s perfect fit for this team!
Josh Downs in the right offense is an annual 1000-yard WR.Josh Downs?
Good player. Not so sure about a perfect fit though. Slot only guy. Speed is ok but not great (clocked at 4.47 at UNC). Excellent route runner, and has excelled at things he shouldnt (contested catches). I think he is a 60 for 650 guy in the NFL. Cole Beasley type slot. Outside of the drop @RS12 referenced, I have seen some mentions of drops being an issue. Though I have seen enough of him to say of that is a real concern. Cant find any totals posted anywhere either
With fit, with Lamb playing so much slot, Id prefer a WR that can play multiple spots. Thats not going to be Downs. With that being said, I think he is a pretty safe prospect. I see him as a 3rd rounder, but some other places have him higher. I think PFF has him as their 4th WR
You are underestimating Downs.Exactly, Downs puts you in the mind of Cole Beasely. I also, agree they need a guy who can play slot or outside because of CeeDee.
Not so sure he will be sub 4.4. He times at UNC at 4.47, so I dont see him doing better at the combineJosh Downs in the right offense is an annual 1000-yard WR.
But in a 17-game schedule that is not anything crazy to say.
And he will run sub around a 4.4
That's fair. His separation in the slot and how easy he gets open put reminded me of Cole. You are underestimating Downs.
Grades as a 95/100 as a deep threat...so not just a slot dude.
Was one of the top in the nation at contested ball catches (72%)
But either way.
The slot now is not even what it was 3-4 years ago.
All the top offenses are putting their best WRs in the slot for more than 50% of the plays now days
More like Diggs than Beasley
Probably tru. you got to it before I switched it to around 4.4 vs sub 4.4Not so sure he will be sub 4.4. He times at UNC at 4.47, so I dont see him doing better at the combine
