The players that haven't got any mention in these threads that I thought played really well are:

Marcus Spears.....I thought he looked outstanding! He was in the backfield on almost every play. He was the first one back there on Tanks sack, and on the Thomas stuff on the goal line.

Zach Thomas......Had three tackles in a quarter! He is going to be outstanding this season....he was always two steps ahead of Bradie.

Demarcus Ware......(Ok not a reach) but when he was out there he looked fast, and like a MAN playing with a bunch of high schoolers!

Patrick Crayton......Looked great in his route running! Boy does he run upright though.

The rest of the youngsters really don't matter to me...(I mean 2nd and 3rd string) If we lose any of our key guys we are done anyway. Witten, TO, Romo, and Ware. The Brad Johnson deal is over talked about. Do you think Jim Sorgi is going to win any games for the Colts?????

Other key thoughts:

Either Bruce Read has NO idea what he's doing, or they spent about 10 whole minutes in camp working on special teams!

Amendola is just like any other rookie....he got popped on that play.

Bobby Carpenter saw the most action he will see this season. Big Bill....how much you want for him....a bowl of soup perhaps??????

Felix will out play every rookie this season and be rookie of the year.

Lastly.....we are not as deep as everyone and the media has made us out to be.

Felix rookie of the year? Its going to be hard to pull that off with the limited snaps he will get IMHO.

I think Felix looks good....but so did Julius his first year here and we all saw how that turned out. Last nite those two looked similar ...I think Jones might have a little better vision and runs smoother but again...IMHO I expected a little more from my first round pick. I know....its only one preseason game and most of us think he played pretty well but I was expecting more...tougher...faster...I dont know but something more....

anyways...maybe i was buying the hype too much....do it every year

If you watched his college highlights, you would realize he played exactly like he did in college. Great burst, doesnt lose much speed when changing direction, good hands, and good vision. He might look like Julius from the outside, but he is a LOT better runner.

Overall Spears had a very solid performance. I need to update my list of players that we need to get rid of, lol.

dowayne davis had a nice game and there is a chance he might make it if amendola fails to impress.

Good catch on Spears. I didn't key in on him much. But after re-watching, he had a very good game. He was constantly in the backfield (unless he was getting literally tackled by the RT).

Appreciate the Davis info cause I was wondering about him. Was it his SS play or ST play which most noteworthy. He's probably only 1 of maybe 3 undrafted players who stand any chance at all to make this team.

I didnt see the first series so cant comment, but the two series he was in there that I did see he was very active and got into the backfield quite a bit
