We are favored to win so they start us 7 points down. If you bet the spread, Dallas has to win by more than seven. If the score is 14 Dallas 7 Washington then you lose the bet. If we kick five field goals and the score is Dallas 15 Washington 7, then you win the bet. It's called betting the spread, or taking the spread.

Actually, if Dallas were to win by 7, it is a push…..not a loss. You just lose the juice
