I'm trying to truly understand why he is how he is. Why he won't share credit in winning? My main example is the patriots. With the pats you have two of the biggest names and egos in sports in Bellicheck and Brady. Then you have Bob Kraft who gets just as much credit!

We saw why Jerry let go of Jimmy Johnson. He also only hired parcells because he needed a stadium deal and knew he had to win now ( I didn't even realize this until i heard that sturm podcast posted the other day)

That last part bothers me alot. So essentially what that means is when push comes to shove Jerry can and will hire a great coach to get the job done. He knows how to do it. What is also potentially means is that he KNOWINGLY hires sub par coaches. So he can take all the credit. So he can control everything. He wants garret to so desperately succeed, to win one title so he can prove he was right. He figured odds are it would work out by now, yet its been a colossal failure.

So this man is holding back the entire franchise because of his greed. With the talent we had we could have at least gone to a SB or two over the past 20 years. I used to look at Jerry as this sort of madman owner who cared about winning. As a fan I loved that. However as time has gone on I question whether Jerry Jones cares about us as fans at all.

He doesn't. If he did he would change. He's ruining the legacy of the Cowboys each and every year.

We are one of the most hated franchises in all of sports. Now people legit feel sorry for us. Never thought it would get here, but Its gotten to that point.

He’s a little man who hit paydirt at the right time.
Bring on Hos the fraud.

If this truly is his line of thinking, then it has had the opposite effect of what he wanted. If he wanted to be remembered as great football mind and someone who won it by himself, then he failed completely. Because his reputation is the exact opposite of that. He’s known as being a egotistical failure of an owner, who’s meddling has caused a 20+ year streak of losing.

The farce of an unmerited HOF induction is what he thinks validates his moronic handling of the team.

Agreed, but how can it not be assumed (and again i really don't know) that he thinks this way. The only two coaches worth a dam are jimmy johnson and bill parcels over the past 20 years. I know skip bayless pointed out those parcells teams went 34-30 or something. However he had quincy carter and bledsoe as a qb before Romo, and he still took us to two playoff games in those four years.

Instead of stepping back and trying to win multiple titles like the Pats do...... and getting alot of the credit in the process. Jerry Jones would rather win one title "his way". I bet in his mind he's saying i'm in the hall, i built this thing from the ground up. He just wants one more SB to complete his legacy. Meanwhile us fans suffer.

It isn't right. Sadly though it will never hurt him in the wallet. He's still living off past success in that department.

To me, Jerry is a rich man with a desperate need to feed an over-inflated ego. Sadly, he desperately wants to prove himself as a capable "football guy" without the knowledge and/or the capable judgment to ever accomplish it.

As Hudson Houck said recently, he felt from the beginning that Jerry had bitten off more than he could chew as this team's GM. As it turns out, he was 100% correct in his appraisal. Jerry will say or do anything to avoid embarrassment but unfortunately, it's way too late for that. He has pretty much been doing that for the last two decades plus, imho.

wheres Clint Murchison when you need him.
damn I wish Tex Schramm had found somebody other than Bum Bright to have bought the team...then Bum would never have sold us out to JJ.
We never appreciated what we had when Murchison was the owner. Feel sorry for the younger fans that don't remember when the Cowboys organization was respected.
