Underwhelming pass rush today...

I saw no. 70 pushing our guys ( Ware and Spencer ) past the pocket repeatedly for much of the first 3 qtrs...

And I really did enjoy the win. I'm just a nervous nellie :D

Hate to nitpick after a win but I was really disappointed at our lack of pass rush against such a slow winding QB. I know they hit him a few times late in the game but he still had way too much time.

But . . . but . . . but Wade is a defensive guru!!

Ok first off. Our Defense played TERRIBLE.

But I didn't see a huge problem with our pressure, especially in the 2nd half.

We were facing more or less a WC offense with some Pro Bowl O-lineman. No sacks, sure, I honestly didn't see us blitz much. But for not blitzing much we were beating Leftwich up the entire second half. I give him props for getting many of the passes off that he did, cause he took a hell of a beating to do it.

We had plenty of pressure to many people uses sacks as pressure we made Leftwich throw a lot of bad passes the issue was the secondary gave up to many catches.

I do have concerns about the run defense it was overall bad today, the tackling in the 1st half was pretty sloppy as well.

We will see I am not going to get to worried it was also raining bad so sometimes footing is really bad and you have to be careful as a cb one bad slip and it is a td

Leftwhich was missing wide open people even without being pressureds anyway. They may as well start Freeman and let him develop

Lefwich got pounded as the game went on and I think it effected him. There were a couple of near sacks where they just lucked out or got rid of the ball. What I wish is that we'd gotten a pick or two, Leftwich was certainly leaving the ball out there.

I predict Wade will make some great adjustments next week. It wasn't a great performance, but it wasn't terrible. Both sidews of the ball will have to be more consistent. Great win, I can enjoy my lunch and watch espn this week.

I give Leftwich a ton of credit. He got drilled on more than one occasion, but the ball was delivered right on the money. He showed me much more than I expected. Good job by him and the Bucs.

We had some decent pressure at times, but we were always a second late. We put several hard hits on the QB, but again, just a shade too late. I'm much more concerned about our rush defense, especially considering we play two run-oriented offenses next (Giants and Carolina). We were not good on the defensive line of scrimmage and our tackling was very poor.

Leftwich has always been super tough. I remember seeing him in a college game where he had a severe injury. I want to say a broken let but I'm not sure. He finished the game with two teammates carrying him to the line to take the next snap after every play. Lots of guts.
