if fat mike had a problem with Moore, why didn't he take the play-calling duties over for a few games to prove a point? It isn't because he has not power?
I asked the exact same question to a certain colored blooded poster here. I'm still waiting for an answer.
But I already know the real answer so it doesn't matter.

He didn't wanna feel the wrath of Head Coach Jerry so he was scared.

This whole save face season for fat boy sure better yield an NFC Championship minimum...

Or well, I guess it don't matter in the big scheme of things cuz they can just fire fat Mike, promote Quinn and then fire him too cuz they're just a click away from surrounding Rayne with his much needed support to get over that playoff hump. LOL

And the rinse repeat cycle continues.

It's pretty clear that McCarthy and Moore just weren't a great fit despite the offensive ranking. I said before Moore even went to Chargers, he needed someone like Herbert because Prescott just isn't that guy to be slinging it and making daring throws. Moore is better suited for a QB that can sling it.

Yes....Dak is good, but needs situational play calling to help him...

Where did he throw him under the bus? He basically said Kellen was only focused on scoring, not calling plays that took in consideration the defense and the time they were spending on the field.
It's a story basically because it's the Cowboys we are talking about. I don't think MM necessarily took a shot, but when you make a coaching move and the media asks questions about that move you have to say something. MM gave an answer around differences in philosophy which is fine 99% of the time.

I'm a Kellen Moore fan, but also admit that he drove me crazy in certain areas. He certainly felt like more of a really good play designer than a full OC to me, and given his age/experience level I'm not sure that's a knock. The guy seems high potential enough that I completely understand why Jerry gave him a job, especially under other offensive minded head coaches.

Now MM gets to fully run the show, and KM going to another team gets great experience and an opportunity to show what he can do with a different set of skill players and QB. Sometimes the break up is best for both sides.

It was more to prove a point to Jerry. Let him stew in that decision. This is on him, not McCarthy. That young OC forced on the HC. lol Typical Jerry!

You are so right. Any thing said by someone in the Cowboy's organization is going to be criticized by ESPN and other useless talking heads. Making a controversy and bashing the Cowboys gets clicks. Nothing to see here. They would make a controversy if he said just the word "The".

McCarthy said that he would have ran the ball more to let his defense rest, or at least that's what i read. When has he ever ran the ball alot? He'll be throwing more than Moore calling the plays, that's what he did in Green Bay. Only thing he doesn't have Rodgers, he's got Dak and it won't work....

Who cares if he threw him under the bus? He spoke the truth. The team didn't and couldn't run in certain situations. It's not about the amount of carries at the end of the year, it's about playing situational football and handling pressure. Something the offense has not done. The HC shouldn't have to puzzyfoot around the subject.
