Signed by Cowboys Undrafted Tracker 2025

Schotty wants character guys and Bond would be a PR disaster.
DC Bond or Bust!! im rallying. I mean literally you remember that time that Michael Irvin and a bunch of knuckleheads had the White House and gotten a bunch of trouble and then when we needed a wide receiver and we went into the draft and Randy Moss had a domestic and had a little bit of weed with him when he got arrested or questioned or whatever happened I don't remember the story and then Jerry got scared and didn't get Randy Moss you remember how that went when Randy showed the league how much the Cowboys really made a big mistake this guy is a first round talent Isaiah Bon 2nd round at best he would have fell he should have went In a similar area that Matthew Golden went that's where this guy played he he started in front of Matthew Golden he had some injury issues golden got to get some more snaps than he used to but the starter on the Longhorns team was Isaiah Bond so we're going to let a first round talent not even get a tryout here because you're worried about his squeaky clean persona over an accusation that has not been proven?

I understand what you're saying I get it I understand what BS is trying to do but in this case we have a huge hole for wide receiver too we have a guy that should have probably went in the 1st round but the 2nd round at the latest and he's sitting out there and you don't even try to bring him in you can make his contract ok to the public look he ends up guilty goes to jail his contract gets torn up and he you move on..

Right now they are way over 90 players. Linemen on the roster like Jack Anderson, Dakoda Shepley, Earl Bostick, etc. best get ready to pack.
Now I'm thinking they're gonna have a new rule for the Cowboys I don't know if it's allowed or not but they're gonna have 8 offensive lineman a tight end and Prescott they're gonna run a tush push and try to average 3.5 yards a carry they're going to get a first down on never having to punt 4 downs and they're going to go all the way down a field they're gonna run 18 minutes every drive off the clock, and they're gonna keep the score down and they're gonna win games 10-9.. Every once in a while they're going to shock the world when the tight end breaks out and goes down the field and we get like 8 yards yep we're gearing up this is the new Brian Schottenheimer offense the Great Wall of China all wall in one player behind him. :muttley:

But even in the "White House" era the Cowboys never drafted or signed a player facing the kind of charges Bond is accused of. There was no social media back then either. Most of what Irvin and several other players did during the 1990's did not become public knowledge until years later.

The NFL and society as a whole has changed. Maybe back then Bond would have been drafted- after all, Lawrence Phillips was taken. Anybody signing Bond is inviting a media circus. I know there is no risk roster or cap-wise by bringing him in as a UDFA.

But I do not want to give a first time head coach trying to build a roster around character this kind of distraction.
