Why do people want to tinker with the uniform? Some people won't be happy until we show up in some ridiculous neon color or something.

While I am totally ok with not changing a thing, not one person has mentioned crazy colors or dramatic changes. You're ridiculous. People just want one blue and one silver per uni setup.

Yup. I actually like that color. It would be nicer if it was a touch more blue than green though.

I used to feel the same way when they actually wore them but they have since grown on me. I think my hatred for our throwbacks has played a role with me liking the '94 jersey.

A throwback home white jersey with the 70s style numbers would be cool to.

First off the royal blue is not random. The cowboys wore strickly royal blue from the start untik I think 1980. I personally hate the navy and wish they would go back to only royal. Also, I like the odd blue green and wish the helmet matched that color.

Yep. The blue was navy up until 1974 when it was changed to royal blue.

Personally, I like navy blue better, but all I really want is for the blues and silvers to match. Go with one shade of blue and one shade of silver and I will be happy.

Actually the current uniforms are more ridiculous in color with the mismatched blues and silvers and randomness of the home pants. All most of us want is for a "normalized" uniform with matching colors.

I never really loved or hated them. I would be okay with their being occasionally worn, but if they became the regular jersey, I would be screaming.

I'm also okay with the throwbacks, again, as long as they're worn just occasionally and not all the time. Now, Denver, they have some seriously ugly throwbacks. I'm not talking about the Orange Crush uniforms worn in Super Bowl XII. I mean the older mustard yellow and brown ones. Yuck. Worst NFL uniforms ever. Denver should use their orange crush uniforms as their throwbacks and forget they ever worse those awful yellow ones.

I like the current throwbacks but I agree that they should only be worn on special occasions.....which they are only on Thanksgiving.

Yeah there are some seriously hideous throwbacks around the league. I don't have the picture but do a google search for the Stealers throwbacks for this season. :laugh1:

i'm not against an entire overhaul of the entire uniform......don't get me wrong i like the uniform but i'm not against removing everything star included

This seems like a yearly discussion. Leave the uniform alone. Nothing wrong with it as is. It is one of the most recognized uniforms in all of sports

Exactly. We are not talking about scrapping the design and starting from scratch, just a few minor modifications that should look more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

No, you are wrong and so is that post. They were royal blue until the 1980s. It is rumored that the reason they switched to navy is because Tex wanted to break the blue jinx, which was assigned to the ROYAL blue not the navy. Here: http://www.ocballs.net/cowboys/cowboys.htm is an even better site. You will notice that EVERY jersey until the 1982 cards are royal blue. That is because they changed to navy in 1981. That post is nice and all, but someone who knows nothing about the cowboys jersey history wrote it. It is sad that I am only 24 and am apparently the most knowledgeable on this subject
