Being a reality star is apparently worth more than being a Nobel-prize winning author.

And not all Rutgers University students are happy about that.

The university’s programming association booked MTV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to appear at the Livingston Student Center in Piscataway, NJ for two question and answer sessions.

The price tag was a whopping $32,000, $2,000 more than the university paid for Nobel-prize winning author Toni Morrison.

They got it backwards. The people who have to listen to her speak should be ones getting paid.

After she speaks a group of Professors will come on stage to address the student audience. They will say...That (points to Snooky) is why you are here and should not drop out. :laugh2:

You are correct....The dumbing down of this once great country continues and has been going on for quite some time now.
Whats worse is most people dont even care.

It's sad isn't it? From a sociological perspective, you have to wonder if it has to do with the influx of immigrants. Hear me out. I'm not saying they are stupid, but rather value work > education. That has to do a little with it, in my opinion. However, the advances in technology are helping people become lazy and more stupid, even though information is the most available now than it has ever been.
