Some interesting data.....

http://www.besttickets.com/blog/nfl-player-census-2014/

I would not have guessed less than 2% hispanic players in the NFL, but after thinking about it I can't name a lot of hispanic football players.

Every LS in the league is white.

Every placekicker in the league and all but one punter is white.

Every nose tackle is black.

There are no white CB's in the NFL. That is amazing to me.

Florida, Texas and California have produced the most NFL talent.

Louisiana produces the most players per capita.

St Thomas Aquinas in Ft Lauderdale has produced the most current NFL players...it is a private Catholic school

University of Miami has the most Pro Bowlers in the league.

Ton of good information there.

Fla, why are you amazed at no white corners... I can't think of one since Sehorn, and he was unique back then.

Yea, I'd be shocked if he wasn't the last white CB, honestly don't remember any others. Plenty of safties, even several good ones, but I can't remember another CB good or bad. I'd also be shocked if Toby Geahart isn't the only white RB in the NFL, not counting FBs

From a purely statistical stand point, those are 3 of the 4 largest states, thus they should produce the most NFL talent. When you consider far more basketball talent comes out of NY, it makes even more sense.

I guess it should be common sense, but I don't look at color on the field....that is probably why the 2% hispanic number caught me off guard too. Was Sehorn the last white CB in the league? Can't remember the last black placekicker either. It's just one of those things that you don't really think of, then you see the stat and you are just caught offguard.

Woodhead and Hillis come to mind if Hillis is even still in the league

didnt think hillis was still in the league. probably shouldn't have said shocked since there were a few others, but for a while I feel like mike alstott was the only white rb in the league, and even though he was more of a rb than fb, his position was fb

The corner back thing isn't surprising, I can't remember the last one.

IS Cairo Santos white?

I am guessing by the name, they would have called him hispanic. They do state that their classification of everyone isn't 100% correct though.
