You can say the same thing, about Tom Brady.

definitely. 6th Rd pick becomes first ballot HOF. No doubt at all that was pure luck.

Right now the only thing I can think of that is unstopable,:laugh1: is the thought of last weeks game. We need to kick but to get rid of last weeks hangover, and it was a real bender.

In todays NFL Larry Allen would have been a #1 pick. But the fact is that by PURE luck the O line became one of the best in history. There is no other way to explain how it happened..

And the fact that despite trying for over 15 years Jerruh has not been able to duplicate it by using lower round and UDFA's.

No he wouldn't have. The reason LA dropped so far is cuz he went to a tiny college. Tiny College OL still don't get drafted with the #1 pick. They MIGHT squeeze in to the first round, but they don't go #1.

Of course I'm assuming the 32 NFL GM's wouldn't have the power to see in the future, going ONLY from what they know of his measurables and college performance.

Ok while we're on teh subject of Emmitt videos.... I've been looking for a specific clip for years...

Way back before "Hard Knocks" NFL films did a special "1 week with the cowboys" (though it might have just been a "1 week with Emmitt" not sure) thing leading up to a game vs the vikings. I can't remember what year it was. Anyway, when they get to the clips of what he actually did in the game there's this one clipe where a Viking DB blitzes and Emmitt just lays him the F out.

Anyone have that clip or know where I can find it?

Anyone know what clip I'm talking about?

In my eyes he is the best running back to ever play the game. He could pound the rock, he could pick up the blitz and block and he could catch balls out of the backfield. I truly miss the toughness he brought to the team.

When your 3 best players on offense are also the 3 hardest workers, toughest and most consistent.....that tends to rub off on the rest. That Oline was not highly decorated with the exception of Larry Allen, and even he was from a small college with a chip on his shoulder.-----but they played as a unit and Erik Williams brought the attitude to it.

I remember when they had about 8 or 9 players on offense make the Pro Bowl team. Yeah, its been a while....pardon me ..:banghead:

I don't think he meant literally the #1 overall, I think he just meant the first round
