First of all, on offense Romo had to run for his life all night and never had time to look down field to his receivers. Watching Eagles player after player break through our OL after every pass play is beyond old. Time to invest in a Center and some Big Athletic Guards who do get blown up every play and/or to slow to move to pass block. Costa cannot hike the ball straight to Romo to save his life! Over and over again the ball is hiked up, down, side to side and on the ground! Romo has never been the same since the OL deteriorated after T.O. left. The offense continues to struggle! Breakdown after breakdown! Players do not know where they are suppose to line up or what the play is going to be. Playcalling is putrid at best! Dez is running around the field clueless! Is Garrett in over his head? Maybe? Disorganized, poorly prepared, confused is how the plays line up most weeks! Sometimes their talent allows them to win! But against the better teams they mostly find a way to lose!

Secondly the Defense! If you can even call that effort Defense! Rob Ryan needs to shut his pie-hole! The way the eagles ran through the Boys D was like a bad case of diarrhea! To continue to run Brady James and Brookins out there and ask them to cover anyboy is a joke that is not even funny! Every play, they are chasing but never catching up. The middle of the Boys D was like paradise to the Eagles. A place where everybody will continue to go. The sad thing about is that with the Boys love for slow LB's, this will be the theme for the rest of the season. I am tired of wating the middle of the D-Line be blown up! I could have ran through some of those hole last night. We need a 340lb. NT period! All the other dominate 3-4 Defenses have one! What makes the Boys think that they do not need one? Move Ratliff to DE and tell him to shut up and play! Spencer need to be let go in free agency! He is like Claude Rains on most days!(The Invisible Man)! I am about as frustrated with the inconsistent play as I have ever been in 40 years as a Cowboy faithful! I am just ready for some positive change!:bang2:

Yeah well despite me screaming for the past 3 years how bad we need a DE in the draft I'm always told it's a wasted pick. I wonder if the Texans feel that way about Watt or the Commanders about Kerrigan.

Bottom line is a 3-4 DE does not need to rack up 13 sacks a season but one that can push the pocket can change a defense.

youre a rocket scientist

Do you watch the game? Ratliff is easily the most disruptive best lineman we have. When the other team schemes their offense around him you can't blame him for it.

There's been a bunch of us screaming for an offensive lineman for the last...6 years or so too.

I've been personally screaming ILB's now for around 4 years and we are finally paying for that. Yes we got Lee, and hopefully Carter works out, but we have no depth.

Everybody was itching and moaning for skill position players, or DB's, and it was blantantly obvious that our ILB's suck!

For whatever reason they have not done well drafting LBs or offensive linemen for a really long time now. Its not for a lack of trying either, they have used a lot of picks in those two areas but not many have panned out. You have to build inside out.

Well the thing is you can only fill so many holes at one time.

Right. Which is why we shouldn't have allowed the OL to get in such bad shape.

If only we had a talent evaluator running the team.

Correct. But very few people realize this. Evidenced by all the CB talk high in the first round last year.

WE need all-stars across both lines to succeed. Gotcha

No. But we can't line up bums like Phil Costa and Bill Nagy. Nor declining JAGs like Derrick Dockery and Kyle Kosier.

Not all stars. Just good players.

True. Good teams depend on having good lines playing consistent football

Kosier is a good player if he's on the left side. So his decline is due to Tyron Smith.

I've been asking for a pro-bowler at every position for I don't know how long. If we get that, we should be really really good.

We had that in 2007 and it still didnt help. :laugh2:

I agree taht we need to improve the O-line. Some of these kids may be better as they mature, but it's looking bad so far.

AS for the D-line, we are playing a 3 man front, so it's the ILBers jobs to plug the holes, and of course when your defensive scheme calls for the ILBers to beback in coverage then there is nobody at home to fill those holes. For the most part I thought the D-line was one of the least problems with our defense last night.

How about moving Kosier to center and starting Holland and Dockery? Kosier has been getting pushed backwards an awful lot this season, maybe a transition to center would do him some good. Lord knows Costa is struggling just to snap the ball. I know they are both jags, but they cant do any worse than it was last night.
