Unusual bands I love

^^^ The samples had a alt/reggae vibe

Tash might be the best musican alive.

Havent seen Frank Zappa mentioned. We wore out the Sheik Yerbouti album back in the day. How bout Root Boy Slim?

I saw him make one of the greatest entrances of all-time. They brought him out on a hand-truck and dumped him onstage.

I was a HUGE fan. He had a great sax player from DC named Ron Holloway in the band.

I'll never forget these words of wisdom from Root Boy himself when we saw him in NYC:

"What kind of drugs you fellas doin'?"

"Got any?"

BTW, the opening band, which featured two women dressed as nuns in BDSM gear, was called "The Sic F*cks". Perfect opener for Root Boy.

Saw him three times. 'Did the Gator' with the entire crowd at a show somewhere outside of DC:

Kaleo
In Flames
Talking Heads
The Dandy Warhols
Drive By Truckers
Deer Tick
Shearwater
Fleet Foxes
Radical Face
Tindersticks
Faith No More
Big Special
Crash Test Dummies
Bare Naked Ladies
9 Inch Nails
Arcade Fire
Alberta Cross
Queens of the Stone Age
Porcupine Tree

I like Dead Confederate as well. I can keep going with unusual or quirky bands but I will be keyboarding all day. Don't get me started on the mainstreams. Music and movies help me keep my sanity.
