A lot of fans were unhappy with Gregory's performance last week. Even though he was disruptive against Brees, he only showed up in the highlights for two penalties that really hurt the defense (not counting the offsides because he wasn't offsides).

It is going to be interesting to see how he responds after the last game.

Personally, I think last week's game is going to fuel him even more and will get two sacks on Sunday forcing a fumble. He had a great sack on Wentz last time around and the dline overall played well.

Let's go Gregory.

Jason Peters is one of the top 3 LTs in the league (Tyron Smith & Trent Williams)

Like Smith & Williams, Peters is super tough & often plays hurt. He got rolled up on Monday night and is day to day with an ankle. It will slow him a bit but his power will still be there

I’m hoping that Gregory’s speed rush can get Peters out of position & maybe open gaps for blitzers to hit

I would suspend him from special teams from the rest of the season because of that horrid roughing the kicker penalty. He has no business playing on ST. Selling out for any punt block is S-T-U-P-I-D.

I heard they kept the base defense in on that punt, fearing a fake. Gregory is not normally a part of the punt return squad.

mentioned same thing. Gregory is emotional guy and last week was his most error filled game of his career along with release of his story this week in media. Wanting to see if coaches cut his snaps back to limit his mistakes or let him pin his ears back.

When I focus on him I don’t see him use the speed rush often. Mostly looks like he’s trying to bull rush. I’d like him to use his speed more. Maybe he’s instructed not to break contain?

To be honest, the roughing the punter penalty happened because he tripped leaping over a blocker. He almost immediately lost balance and could not stop. It should have been called, but was not a boneheaded play.

I feel the same way. I think he's starting to turn the corner. I believe he'll be motivated to shut people up and show how good he can be. While the ST play was inexcusable, the neutral zone infraction was weak. I think Gregory will make an impact and get another sack or two on Wentz. My fear after last game was that he would get down on himself and do something stupid (leading to another failed test). Fortunately, we won so his negative plays didn't alter the outcome - which likely made it easier to deal with for Gregory.

Easy to criticize after it happened. Try to praise him for all the other ST's plays where he did not commit a penalty. :p

LOL- I tried that a week ago...didn't turn out so well. I have your back. This is the week!

The only time you sellout on blocking a punt, is when you absolutely know you got it. Like you break through clean and know you can reach the kicker before that ball leaves his foot. Otherwise, you back off. Gregory literally caused two turnovers in that game via penalties. No excuse!

Just seen this now. And watch, now he’ll have the game of his life and this thread will be enshrined and everyone will love Gregory. Some bipolar cowboy fans never get help.

Gregory ran over his blocker and his momentum carried him into the punter. It wasn't like he thought, oh, I will just go ahead and hit the P.

His offsides was not an offsides. Can't help the refs screwed that up.

No making an excuse but don't back off trying to block. a punt, unless you want to set up a return. Otherwise you go after the block every time.
There is no...we know we have it so let's go vs. we don't have this so don't risk it. The coaches ,are a decision, go for it, or set up the return. Depending field position. The time it was worth going for the block.
