Yes Shazam. I was a kid in the 1970s living in California and watched the Shazam tv show regularly. And their last episode was flimed in my hometown of Moorpark (you can see the MP theater in the episode). I saw them filming at the train tracks. I was so excited to see the motorhome there (used in the tv show). I think my brother got Isis's autograph.

Forgot to mention how piqued my interest was when I read Gambit would be getting his own movie. Terribly disappointing how lacking his involvement has been in the X-Men/Wolverine movies. Was always my 2nd favorite behind Wolverine and his interactions were noticeably missed. Especially with Rogue.

Apparently wolverine isn't going to be popping up in apocalypse , strange as he's been doing it 17 years and only has old man wolverine left on his contract.

Can't get hyped for that as they are pushing Oliva Munn down your throat over the advertising, she's terrible.

Suicide squad has gone back for reshoots as apparently all the jokes were in the trailer and they want to "Deadpool" it up with more jokes. Funniest thing in that entire movie will be Captain Boomerang prancing about.

Guardians is really the only thing I'm Jazzed for. Civil war might be interesting but I get the feeling Baron von Zemo will be one of the weakest villains to date and let the movie down.

2016:
June 3: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
I threw up a little in my mouth when I read this.
November 4: Doctor Strange
Doc may be the biggest gamble yet by any studio. I hope they get it right the first time. I've always considered him an awesome character.
2017:
June 23: Wonder Woman
About. Damn. Time. It's practically criminal that the third member of DC's triumvirate waited over a half century to make it to the big screen. All the previous excuses were pretty much excised with the character's appearance in BvS: DOJ.
November 3: Thor: Ragnarok
The twilight of the Asgardians is nigh. Sorry. Comic book geek. :)
Schedule inconclusive: Fantastic Four 2 (Fox) (Several publications have reported the release date has been changed from June 2 to TBD, and while there hasn't been any official confirmation by Fox, this seems like a likely bet).
I wouldn't be surprised if FOX shelves the whole thing. The first FF was piss poor that was negatively received by paid critics and general audiences and box office. Best of luck to them. The FF was a big part of my book collection back in the day. I'm holding out hope that a movie adaptation will do the source material proper justice some day.
2018:
February 16: Black Panther
Another about damn time film appearance moment. I'm eagerly awaiting how he will be presented in CA:CW.
July 27: Aquaman
Another studio gamble. I do think they got the right actor for the part but hopefully he doesn't bring any Conan baggage to his newest role.
2019:
March 8: Captain Marvel
April 5: Shazam
Amusing that these two debut so close together knowing the copyright battles over the name Captain Marvel affected both characters over the decades. I'm stoked about seeing Cap on the big screen and have nothing against the female incarnation of the character that Marvel created. It's just that I was a big fan of the original male version of the character, he who possessed the power of the Nega Bands. It's been, what, thirty years since Marvel killed off the male character. Cancer. :(
July 12: Inhumans
Dare I hope there will be an appearance of... Black Bolt???
2020:
June 19: Green Lantern Corps
I wish a universe of success for Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool. Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, maybe only one of a handful of actors on this planet who could do the character proper justice. But please, please, please keep him away from the Green Lantern franchise. Same goes for Blake Lively. Mark Strong played a great Sinestro though. Props to the late Michael Clark Duncan for his voicework with Kilowog.

Maybe they'll spice up this film with some female members of the GL Corps. Perhaps Arisia (hopefully her adult version). Katma may be a better choice if they re-introduce Sinestro. She was his replacement after he went rogue.

Good thread. I'm glad I lived long enough to see adaptations like all these mentioned in thread become seriously made films, even ones with built in humor like Guardians. Movies are visual storytelling portals. They deserve being told properly, without insulting intelligence or dramatic effect.

Bold>Lucky dog. I was a fan of the Isis television show back in the 70's. AoAnna Cameron was the best looking thing on Saturday morning television--well, her and Electro Woman. :p It's a pitiful shame that an acronym of Cameron's character name was eventually identified for a radicalized terror organization. Kinda makes my skin crawl even though there is zero connection between the two.

DE - i need to come see a super hero movie with you. :)
You would need to be prepared going to see one of them with me. I do a tiny fist pump whenever a scene in a movie is done right. Drives my wife nuts whenever she goes to the movies with me. :p

Here are photos of the Episode 'Out of Focus' (with Isis). If you ever watch the episode, the scene at the train tracks showing the big water tower, my house was nearby. That's where I walked down and saw them filming.

I'm more excited to see a Ben Affleck-directed Batman solo film than any of those.

These are the ones I am currently looking forward to, but the list could completely change depending on the details coming out. I have read that Suicide Squad is going through reshoots partially because of overwhelming positive reception to the trailer, but also due to the negative critical reception to Batman Vs Superman. If that is actually true, then there could be a whole lot more hope for Justice League.

2016
Captain America: Civil War - The Russo's completely nailed Winter Soldier. Amazing movie. If the prescreening feedback is true, then Civil War will be a great movie.
X-Men: Apocalypse - Loved X-Men First Class, great casting with McAvoy and Fassbender. Didn't like DoFP as much due to the future sequences, but that will not be in this movie.
Doctor Strange - I am very interested in seeing what they do with this character. This could be epic or it could be a complete bomb.

2017:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - First one was one of the best I have seen, so I am all in on this one.
Wonder Woman - Wonder Woman was the absolute best thing about BvS. I think they may actually know what to do with this character.
Thor: Ragnarok - Both previous Thors have been pretty blah, but this one will have the Hulk so I am pretty interested.

2018:
Black Panther - Another one like Doctor Strange, although I believe they have a Blueprint on how to make him great based on Captain America
Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1 - Russos are directing, so I am in.

2019:
Shazam - I have always liked this character. A movie is long overdue.
Avengers: Infinity War, Part 2 - Russos directing again, plus this is supposed to close the story on some of these current characters.

Thanks for the list @RingOfHonor88

Sounds like we're going to be spending a lot of $$$ at the movies these next few years lol.

Whats your thoughts on Valiant throwing their name in the ring with Bloodshot?

So the next Spider-man is going to be another reboot?
Yep. I have a love/hate reaction for the move. I love Marvel fully getting their mitts on the characters. Columbia had a see-saw effect on the franchises. I thought Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were very good to excellent movies, in that order, with lead actors providing average depth to the characters--while The Amazing Spider-Man was a good movie with lead actors who breathed better depth into the characters.

Not going to talk about Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 :) . Oh well. I really REALLY liked Andrew Garfield playing Peter Parker. Now that's over and done. Time to see what Tom Holland brings to the role.

The money will be well-worth spending if they deliver on the screen. :)

You've put me on the spot. I never got into Valiant Comics or any of their characters. :( What kind of character is Bloodshot? It sounds like a great name.

With the amount of money they(Disney) has, and money there is to be made, why not outright buy everything back? Or one at a time?

Excellent questions. I wish I could pose them to the executives at 20th Century Fox. Their FF franchises have been good to crap. It's outrageous that they will not allow another company to fully realize The World's Greatest Fighting Team on the big screen. Maybe they believe they'll luck into the next Avengers-like super-success film? I don't know but Fox and several other movie studios should really consider allowing Disney and Marvel to reclaim these properties.

You've put me on the spot. I never got into Valiant Comics or any of their characters. What kind of character is Bloodshot? It sounds like a great name.

It should make for an interesting movie adaptation. He's a former soldier who is infused with millions of nanite computers. One of the most interesting things about him is he can use the nanites to interface with all kinds of technology. He can also change his appearance similar to Mystique.

The movie will most definitely be an origin story. He lost all of his memories and a big portion of his story is about getting them back. Plus, not a lot of people are familiar with his character. It's worth checking out if you're interested. I read that they are doing a 5 movie set with 2 being Bloodshot, 2 Harbinger movies and the 5th being the Harbinger wars movie which is a crossover.

I think Disney owns the characters, as they make merchandise and I think cartoons, but they do not own the film rights.
