I heard he was going to be fired, possibly this morning, and Cowboys are crossing their fingers he is.

Of course, the 49ers just called and were backtracking -- not been fired, no decisions made, blah, blah, blah.

So I am going to update. I think it reads like it happened when it needs to read like it is imminent.
So she is going to update her story so it doesn't read like he is on the bricks.

Now everybody... You atheists too. Pull your weight for a change.

I'm kidding on that last line. He would be a great hire as the DC.

Pull the trigger, whiners. You don't need a tough, smart coordinator who's proven he can improve your defense. :)

Ya'll think the Cowboys' front office has been deathly silent waiting for this to occur? Or possibly some other event?

Engel really jumps the blocks to break a story..lol
Ive heard as well that Manuskys' firing is imminent, but not from sources that I deem to be totally credible.
So take JFE's news for what its worth.

A friend at the 49ers forum that I trust tells me they expect it too.

JFE told me some Defensive players called her hoping this is true.

If it happens, it'll be Major Upgrade #2 along with Decamillis replacing Read, and our offseason is off to a great start.

Any idea the reason for this? I would have to expect that he and Singletary simply don't jibe as he has done a very good job. Possibly, they've got eyes for someone else?

Jerry better jump to be first in line. Manusky would be a great hire, and he builds from the inside out. I like what he has done with the 49ers D.
Stout inside, and Dallas could use his influence in April.

Agreed. Although I hesitate to say great. More like, a not bad start.

I still would like to see other changes. Hopefully in time that will come.

Let's not get greedy.

Having Wade free from many everyday defensive responsibilities will allow him to take care of other important tasks.

For example, now HE can make the cupcakes for training camp rather than having to buy them.

agreed.

plus this gives him more time to watch patrick crayton catch 6 punts at a time.

My friend says he and Samarai simply clash. Not as bad as Samarai and Martz, but think about this. Scott Linehan turned down the OC job saying he did not want to move his family. Then days later he took the Lions OC job.

Everything smell right to you there?

cool, keep us posted Hostile, I think he would be a good hire too, and i am for one, wanting a big huge NT in the middle of our defensive line, since someone says manusky builds from within on defense to the outside,

maybe manusky can light a fire underneath spencer and bobby carpenter

although i think carpenter will be traded soon

Interesting.

Still, I can't see them letting Manusky go as it would leave them with no coordinators at this point

I'm guessing that Mike really gets after his staff

miami dolphins, parcells really wants him, believe it or not,

remember in the trade with fasano, parcells was trying to get carpenter even then in that deal and the cowboys said no.

now that parcells has the dolphins built some, and ready to push for playoffs, he might be willing to give up more for players that he wants

i also think you might see crayton in a trade, mcquistan or proctor in trade too, not just to dallas but maybe some other team
