4-6 weeks is the medical staff's prognosis after successful surgery. 6-8 weeks was just a guess before surgery. People want to start controversy by saying they are now rushing Dak back but that's just not true. Dak will not be rushed back but his timeline will change as they get more accurate information about his condition. No IR means they expect him back sooner than later. Maybe he can take mental reps in that time to make him a better QB.

Can't practice if he is on IR; so, if recovery goes well and he is actually able to throw in 3 weeks IR would keep him from practicing.

Im thinking 5 weeks, Brees had the same injury and came back in 5, but Jerry is saying WITHIN 4 weeks, that just sounds too optimistic.

Since it isn't his joint it will heal faster, easier.

You have your answer right there. Little chance they bring him back before the buy week. By that time the season will be toast. Probably 2-6 at that point if not worse.
