I am so proud of the NFC. The team looking at the 6th pick in the draft and a gaggle of fellow vaccum cleaners are playoff eligible. Unreal.

If it would do any good, I'll buy the shovel if you dig and together we can maybe drop a little surprise off at his door.

LOL....tags would probably think it was a gift or something.

Ughh...and the sad thing really is that with the way football has become, with less quality and more quanity, I doubt Spags will leave, or be asked to leave, because at the end of the day he always gets a killer deal for the NFL in the TV markets...and the bottom line is those dollars. :(

I don't think Spags had anything to do with it. He has enough problems just covering the Cowboys. :D

the Chargers have the Giants #1 pick as part of that ridiculous trade they made to get Manning...the Giants will be lucky to win one more game, meaning their pick is probably a lock to be in the top-6-8 picks....San Diego then has the luxury of franchise tagging Brees and trading him for picks and or a player...they too have alot of cap room...they are likely going to the playoffs this yr and will have a big influx of talent next yr too...

I know they do. I was more interested in showing how silly the NFC playoff picture is. In reality I could have made it even more ridiculous. The Commanders who currently hold the #3 choice in the draft are actually in the NFC playoff hunt.

Un-freaking-believable.

even if they dont and somehow perfomed a miracle and won the super bowl, we still made out...we moved down roughly 20 pots (cant remember the exact number) and ended up getting another teams 5th rd pick, 05 1st rd pick this yr and still got the guy who looks like the best RB in the 04 class...we didnt have to pay 1st money for Jackson, Perry or K Jones either

I agree dbair. I'm just being greedy. Either way, we made out like bandits.

Two things are going extremely well for the Bills at the moment...

Special teams and McGahee.

Special teams especially.

Bills SB 6-5. No way Jags should have converted long 4th down and then TD last play of game. Believe they lost another real late as well.

You can put Chris Perry down as this years' biggest bust. Has he even seen the field?

Although if all that happened it would be nice and rosey from the Chargers' perspective, remember that they would then be heading into uncharted territory with a new (completely unproven) quarterback. They'd be removing a probable pro-bowler in Brees and replacing him with a guy who is a big unknown. Even if they drafted well they could slide back quite a bit.

Basically they made a mistake drafting Rivers from what we know right now. Maybe Rivers turns out to be superstar, but it would have made more sense for them to draft another position and stick with Brees. Or maybe Brees is just a 1 year wonder - who knows.

Imagine the Chargers trading down again and picking up Roy Williams and a good OL or DL instead of Rivers? They would be looking real good right now.
