Looks like Lirim Hajrullahu is still making 80%+ of his kicks in training camp while going 7 for 7 today.

Jonathan Garibay did pretty good today by going 5 for 7, by far his best outing in training camp. He just might be getting some confidence back like he had during OTAs a few months back. Maybe the pressure of competition has gotten to him? Regardless, today was a good sign. Let's hope he keeps it up. A good solid kicking competition through the rest of training camp and preseason is definitely what this team needs.

Kicking is such a mental thing, you get one shot to salvage a drive that stalled out, that's a lot of pressure. I think the early misses got into Garibay's head. If he can exercise his demons, he still has a shot.
I think kicked is the one position that’s actually a battle that will have to be won in preseason. That’s his only shot.

It looks like it’ll be Hallelujah.

I haven’t given up on Garibay yet tho… there’s still a whole lot of camp left.

Even though some want to go ahead and toss him out the door, I see no reason to hurry. He's a rookie and might settle in if given a little time. Plus, any better options are liable to be released during cutdowns, not before then.

Of all the positions kicking has evolved the most. These guys routinely hit 50 yarders. It’s remarkable especially if you tried to kick FGs. It’s so hard. I actually kicked a few at ATT. We were on the field goofing around. I kicked a 35 yarder. So impressed that I made it but it was ugly. Line drives galore. Just ugly. Kicking is the second hardest position after QB in my opinion.

i feel like it's like golf...not so much about technique but feel... these guys know what they are supposed to do but sometimes that feel isn't there for days at a time until they get it back
