Assuming we win out of course.

Detroit has to lose one.

Carolina, Saints, or Falcons lose two and we’re in.

Obviously if we could get Carolina and Atlanta to lose next week then their game becomes a play in game and we’re in with a win.

There are some scenarios where we can get the 5 seed.

Simply we need to keep winning and root against those 4 teams now. Detroit, Carolina, Saints, and Falcons. Saints and Falcons play so the loser needs to lose one more

Can someone else confirm this. I thought the only way in was Lions lose one and Falcons lose 2?

If GB sits Rodgers I don't see the Lions lose one more game.

Wouldn’t it be great if the Falcons/Panthers/Lions lose next week and we have a win and you’re in scenario?

Doubtful but sick of all these hypotheticals and I’m not sure if that’s even right.

Good thing is that’s a 1pm eastern kickoff. Meaning they shouldn’t be mathematically eliminated until later that day. So he will play

I think they will be eliminated by that time.

Problem is that Tampa is the team we need to beat all these teams. And also for GB to beat the Lions in Detroit.

The GB loss today was basically the nail in the coffin.

We don't have to have Tampa do anything. Atlanta faces Carolina and New Orleans if they lose both and Detroit lose to one of Cinncinati or Green Bay we win out we're in.

Yes that would be accurate. Barring a tie between Atlanta and Carolina

That would work. As well as Atlanta losses Monday and next week and Cincy over Detroit.

usatoday.com says Falcons or Panthers can lose twice but it does not say Saints, but also this was from 6 days ago although I don't see how that would change.

If the saints lose two, we would have the tiebreaker because of conference record. If one of the saints two losers were today against the Jets, they would have still held the tiebreaker on us as that wasn't a conference game.

Basically, the falcons are the only team in the race that would have a better conference record than us if we tied with them at 10-6. The Lions would have the same, but I think the next tiebreaker goes to them

I have not over analyzed all of the scenarios....BUT, my only question is- IF we win out and finish 10-6 is it more likely or less likely that we get a spot in the tournament?

Generally speaking I assume 10 wins most likely secures a spot in the NFC.
