Updated cap numbers after Cooks contract restructure.

$16 mil cap space.
$48 mil projected for 2024.

Not sure what the draft picks projected amount is. However, they have the $10-? million from Zeke's release to work with for that. After June 1st if they wait to sign them.
So they still have some money to work with now. But will they?
I think if nothing happens in the next week, other than a few lower level deals. It will be after the draft, Mid may or so before we may see one of those DT's being signed.

Hankins money. I dont see obj or any other big money guys coming. Who else could they restructure. I think we are rolling with our guys and draft picks.

Yes, I do not see anymore restructures at this time, nor contract extensions.
Agree, will not be any action or very little until after the draft. Unless it is for Hankins.

I still say they will …

-Bring back Watkins over Hankins
-Sign cheap RB like Ronald Jones
-Sign special team LB

I think they could have freed up more money to possibly resign diggs or Ceedee right meow. I hope we get Hankins back.

So we have 16 or is it really 6? Or do we in essence have 26 not factoring in the Zeke money. I need to know so I can call Jerry

I find Spotrac to usually be more accurate, but they also give a more detailed breakdown of the cap hits and space and also include the expected draft pool. As per Spotrac the Cowboys have $19.5M in cap space and also we will get an additional $10.9M in space when Zeke's salary clears on 6/1.

The total expected draft salaries based on the draft slots of our picks are $7.8M but due to the rule of 51 the cap hit of the draft picks is expected to be $4.9M.

Reality is the real cap probably falls somewhere between Spotrac and OTC. I think the NFLPA eventually releases a report on cap space at some point and that might be the most accurate measure. Regardless, we have likely $17-19 million in cap space with another $10.9 million coming June 1 as you said.

One thing that I am not sure if OTC or Spotrac has accounted for is how to account for Tyron's game incentives. I am still fuzzy on that myself.

I’m not sure if there’s a hard rule or they’re more like the Pirate’s Code. My understanding is ridiculously easy incentives that are no-brainers to attain go against this year’s cap. Incentives that are not necessarily assured go against next year if they are attained. Of course, the issue is how the incentives are categorized and who does it.
