We've clinched a playoff birth and today was a good day because all NFC East teams lost.

To get the #1 seed we need just 2 more wins to clinch it. Beating the Giants next week alone would win us the division but there's still Seattle that can go 12-3-1 they'd have to win out and we lose out for that to happen. So we need 1 more Seattle loss then we only need 1 more win. Then there's also the Lions who can win out and go 12-4 (which would include beating us) so to makes things easier

2 wins: we clinch the #1 seed no matter what
1 win: need 1 loss by Detroit and 1 loss by Seattle, also need to beat the Giants or they need 1 other loss.

So 2-2 seals it, 1-3 means there's 3 teams that can beat us by winning out.

I'd guess we're about a 90% chance to get the #1 seed or better.

So we could technically wrap it all up next week if we beat the Giants and the Lions lose next week and Seahawks lose tonight or next week.

I want the Cowboys to beat the Giants and Bucs, and then spend the last two weeks of the season deciding how to handle two meaningless games.

I also want Tony Romo to start one of those "meaningless games". His Cowboys career cannot end with him writhing around in pain on the Seattle turf in a meaningless preseason contest. I want to remember his last game otherwise.

I hope the Cowboys beat the Lions. I hate losing to them. Seems like we lose to them when we are the better team. Crazy losses too. That being said, the most important game is NYG. We don't want to lose that one as if we're guaranteed of winning two after that. One game at a time.

I'd rather lose to the lions than any other team. A loss to the lions means keeping GB out of the playoffs I hate the packers.

Romo will last about 10 plays those wanting him to play one last time think back to the last few times he played. He couldn't make it in a preseason game with no blitzes, hasn't really played in like 2 years, seriously rusty.

So do we leave the OL, Zeke and Dez out there as well? Or let Romo get killed behind our backups?

All the Dallas Cowboys radio shows seem to think that it will be the Sanchez show if we decide to rest our starters. It's disrespectful to Dak to bench everyone but Romo and if we risk a serious injury to an important player so Romo can ride off in the sunset, Garrett will be killed by the media.

You're right. Let me change it to this- if the finale is meaningless, start Sanchez and give Romo just a few reps.

It could be wise to let Romo knock off some rust before the playoffs just in case he's needed.

Although it would take Seahawks and Lions losing and us beating Giants (all combined are probably doubtful, but who knows), that would be almost weird to clinch the #1 seed with 3 regular season games to go. What do you do with all that time? Keep winning? Rest Dak?

When pounding on one's own chest, don't instead toss darts at a long time Cowboy contributor...
