Updates and bits

I always commend this team when it does something right.

You can see my posts about Murray, Milton, Pickens.

Will I sit here and blindly follow this team thinking everything is great because they hired the guy down the hall from the old coach? No.

If you posted Jerry steps down as GM, not only would i come find you and give you a massive hug, I would also be grateful you broke the news and not Risen.
I don't do twitter or whatever it is called now.
So fat chance I would break it first.

I do not blindly follow everything is great. Never have. I still do not like they did not address DT better. Nor do I have any high hopes they will do so soon.
Maybe another year of stopping the run failure may change their ideas.

I do like they addressed the WR2 spot and the OL, looks like trying to get the LB spots solidified. I think they are relying on Eberflus' coaching more there than any acquired talent. RB, they re just hoping what they did works. But at least they are trying something different.

Multiple positive posts from me.

Prior to the GB fiasco in the playoffs.

I spent years defending Dak, this team, and all of its dumb decisions.

Once I saw the GB game and the lack of accountability I made a decision to take off the blue and silver glasses.
Anyone who objectively saw that game knew what they were seeing. A completely rudderless franchise run by a geriatric moron who pays a bunch of brats that can’t be bothered to show up for a playoff game.

That GB game made me lose any confidence I had in Dak is now gone, for the most part. I lost it the years prior in the SF games. Of some of what I had.
I was a 60 / 40 pro Dak, then each year got less and less.
I hated Jerry extending him. It will be detrimental unless they have a miracles year. Which I am not expecting.

I will still root for Dak to have a great year, because he is our QB. I do think he can get us to the playoffs, if ll stay healthy this year. Is is not elite, but he is not horrible either. He does need that surrounding team. he has shown he cannot carry the team.

Not sure what I am, maybe 30 for / 70 against, at best. The 30 because he is the QB.
Once the season starts, maybe I will be 40 / 60, if he shows he is 100% healed.

It’s ok to express negativity. There’s a lot to be negative about. Go look at your posts in every thread you’ve posted in and you’ll see that you’re negative in almost every single one of your posts. That’s not the concept of a forum. That’s called trolling. So hate on bro.

Last time there was something to be positive about this team was in 2016, when I was positive about the team. There is no need to delude oneself. Heck, I even started to buy into the hype a bit in 2023. But well, so you are saying we all should get excited just because the cowboys say they are changing the culture, without any physical evidence. Again, please provide some examples, that the culture change is already happening.

I don't tell fans to find another team, but I have seen it posted.
I have asked why are they here, when they post something completely insane and way off topic.

I've never said I accused you of any such behavior. Just saying, it doesn't generally come from the "negative nancies" or those who claim to be positive quickly become negative when opposing viewpoints are offered.

LOL.

First of all. I have actually commented on the positives. We actually discussed it briefly about Milton if you remember?

And lets not go down the road of being held accountable and screaming like a child.

You ran away when this team did poorly last season. So here is you reaping what you sow.

You know that you will just get gaslighted and ask for proof that you ever posted anything positive on the site, expecting you to hunt down old posts. Heck, I've given dak his dues on wins when he deserved it in the past. The simple fact is: There just isn't much to be positive about at this point, if you expect more than one and done. I liked a lot about this draft, but I do think this team should draft QB more often, heck even just to get a decent backup in case if the current #1 goes down like he did last year. Its like at the beginning of Romo's last year here, where many people realized he had a problem with injuries and you needed a decent backup and more preferably a future replacement. Now despite how you feel about the current QB we are in the same situation and we have no insurance plan. I would've even taken Deion son as he fell if we could've despite the headaches that would bring, because when you are desperate at QB, you have to at least see what you can get. A bit off topic, but just saying it has been a long time since there has been much to be positive about as far as playoff records are concerned. This is coming from a guy who once though the current Quarterback could be the next Big Ben and had potential to be better than Romo. Still as far as Culture being the topic, we haven't had any semblance of that since the Parcell era. Some people get excited like a puppy when people throw them a bone, I guess...

I just find it laughable that people believe a guy that was part of the "bad culture" is going to come in and create a winning culture.

Thats like hiring the VP after the President gets fired and expecting something different.

The season hasn't even reached all practices or even camps and we are up to a single I have given a compliment due for a single game play in the past ... mighty 'white' of one.

Dang it that just goes to prove that clover investments should be turned to now. That has to be the ticket .

All people are saying, we'll wait for proof before we buy into it. It is one thing if this team has had any kind of success in recent history. I mean some people obviously don believe in the old saying, fool me one shame on you, fool me twice...

I will always root for the Cowboys.

However, if I see them losing games, Dak goes down, I dont want to hear about "winning for culture"

Tank the season. This team could look a lot better right now if they played Lance (still trying to figure out why trade for him and not play him) and lost more games. Even if they stuck with the same draft plan they could have gotten more picks and moved around more.

However, if that happens again this year, with Manning coming out. Then they are just hopeless.

That has to hurt! lmao

Quit being the rainbow happy unicorn 365xx24x60x60

And when I state facts it's not being miserable. But sounds like it makes you miserable since you avoid reality
I really don't think he is actually that way, I think he actually hates himself that is why he comes here to argue and put others down so he can at least try and be happy. Here is a definition of him.

People who repeatedly put others down often do so because they are insecure, trying to elevate their own self-esteem by diminishing others. This behavior can be a reflection of their own low self-worth and a desperate attempt to gain control or a sense of power.

I like what is being said there as well. But I'll take it as lip service. Shotty really more of someone to bring culture here than Big Mike was though? I mean, the whole paintball thing, nothing against it, but seems more of a Barry Switzer type activity to me than a Jimmy Johnson one. ;) Ultimately, you can't build culture unless Jerry lets the head coach be the ultimate power when it comes to the team. I'm not saying general manager, but you can't have culture if the players don't 100% respect the HC.
Big Mike I think probably was in shock here. Fans peeping in the locker room, owner landing his chopper on the practice field. Not like GB

I remember the stories of Jimmy getting mad of Jerry walking into the locker room with some saudi prince or something, disrupting a meeting with the players. I don't think coaches need to always be general managers as well, but the need to be the absolute leaders of the team. Jerry thinks he owns the place, so he can do whatever he wants. Some fans that don't know anything about the type of team building that is required to develop a proper culture, have no problems with that and agree that Jerrah has that right. I think the less the players think about the owner and focus on the coach and the team the better. I mean we have people who failed here and been to superbowls elsewhere saying that we have a country club atmosphere, and people think some muppet coach saying todays show was sponsored by the letter C and holding up a "Culture" sign proves something...

Oh, if shown what has been over the past four season and you are saying you are indeed the fool...then I won't argue you on you are saying you are a fool.

There has been much shown positive and I myself have referenced a ton of facts and positive information that is relevant. Not crying non-stop.

I won't listen to popularity contests outside of applied productive points not connected directly to a trophy.

You want an Andy Reid or the Eagles....go suck face on them.

I'm not ashamed of the Cowboys, it's players, or even Jerry Jones. For myself, I already have a 4 foot weight lifting trophy, won a NAIA National Trophy, and played Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl.

I'm proud of the Cowboys. I don't instead need you cooing and giving ME Hooooahs!

Got it, the opportunity to brag about oneself, for you, far outweighs any pain caused by decades of mediocrity of one's favorite team. Who cares if the cowboys suck because of constant mismanagement, I got a trophy...
