IF a playmaker on defense isn't there then trade back. I love DeCastro but I would rather get more picks and still get quality pro bowl caliper OL in the 2nd and 3rd. I wouldn't mind DeCastro or Konz there if it happens but if we trade back and goes like the following I would be happy too.
I like getting good college players that has bloodlines in the NFL.
Chase Minnifield and TJ McDonald would be nice picks as well.

Is there anyway we can get Minnifield, McDonald, Zeitler, Ben Jones, Kawann Short, Derek Wolfe, James-Michael Johnson, and Joe Adams.

Hos, I really think Konz is going to slip more than anyone can guess right now.

A second blood clot ends his career.

The fact that he even got one has to have alarm bells ringing as to how this happened. This is the sort of things that people get with strokes, cancer or major medical illnesses that put people into bed rest.

This is a bigger red flag than say lymphoma that pushed that 2nd round OL into the 5th round for the Patriots.

It is a bigger deal than the cancer that NYG ILB got that dropped him into UDFA.

We are not in the #17 spot. Currently if the season ended today, we would be a playoff team; which means we are somewhere around the #21 selection.

unless our docs can absolutely assure us that Konz is cured, stay away from him. With OUR luck if we take him and there is any chance at all he will get sick it will happen.

After checking our current draft position at #21 I would like to see us draft OG David DeCastro, followed by C Pete Konz in the 2nd round. I think Konz injury may cause him to fall into the 2nd round. Arkin should be ready next season with a year under his belt. Switch positions for Tyron Smith and Doug Free and you have a line that can jell for the next 10 years. Imagine what numbers this offence can do with a solid running attack and time in the pocket for Romo.

It's a huge deal but I disagree with that comment.

Herzlich had a rod placed in his leg. This was a guy who lacked speed and athleticism to begin with and now he's had more of that sapped with the surgery. He was completely undraftable, IMO.

At least Konz' ability hasn't been effected with his issue. A huge medical risk but the upside is still an elite player. You couldn't say that with Herzlich.

We don't stand a chance on Robert Griffin. Luck will be selected by Indianapolis ,followed by Barkley in Washington and Griffin will go to Seattle or Miami. These 3 QB's will all be top 10 selections.

I don't know about RGIII, but I think if a top tier QB falls to us we should take him. I know some will cry foul, but if you can get a projected top ten pick toward the back of the draft I think it is a no brainer.

I hate to tell you this then, I am hearing from a guy I know who has some Commanders insider info that they are going to take him if he is there at 5.

I wouldn't doubt it, it would make sense for them. Quite a few mocks have them taking him at this point, too many QB starved teams that passed up on guys last draft. He was a bit under the radar at the start of the season but now that he's probably going to win the Heisman, we have no shot.

that would be a dream come true so it won't happen. I would love to get DeCastro then Konz. I also liken this Hayward kid from Vanderbilt (CB). From what I read about him he could be a steal in the 3rd.
