I still see great things for this team in the future.

No, we're not a contender this year. Although, I think we were very, very close....Flozell, Jones, Henry, Dat injuries really hurt....Flo and Jones the biggest.

This game is merely an anomoly...a freak....We're not this bad. Washington is nowhere near being this good. A few cruddy breaks cost us.

During the preseason, I said that I was worried about our ability to stop the run. We don't seem to quite know all the ins and outs of the 3-4 just yet. Next year, that will change. Now, I know some will say that we regressed. I don't know that I see that. I think we finally ran into teams that realized that we were having difficulty stuffing the run.

We had problems all year with it IMO. Teams just didn't stick with it for some reason.

I think we'll fix the problem next year, and we'll be ready to contend.

We still have a shot to fix things this season though.

I know it is a long shot but dang, I am not ready to start focusing on the Mavericks fulltime and hitting the draft boards just yet.

Good post.

You're right we are not this bad and they are not this good.

But it was a serious tail whuppin, a lot went wrong, and we only have two weeks to make things right.

I don't know if it's within the realm of possibility to do so.

...may be the wrong time to repair some of the problems that we have been seeing over the last 14 weeks. We jsut have to ride this one out to the offseason.

I doubt it. Not because we've won big, won ugly, lost ugly or even finally get blown out.. which would normally make it sound like "anything is possible" or "I just cant figure this team out".. but because there is one thing thats become TERRIBLY predictable.

This offense just flat cant score points on the road anymore. It's 5 road games in a row now. And today was the worst of the bunch at that. Theres absolutely no reason to think that'll suddenly change.

Which I guess wouldnt be so bad if you could guarantee that the opponent wont score more than 9. But obviously we cant do that.

Yep

Just trying to remain optimistic.

I wonder who the culprit will be that puts the nail in our coffin?

Oh well...talk radio should be delightful tommorrow mourning on the way to work.

It is one thing to lose, but this team really has no fire. Say what youw ant about Keyshawn, he has fire. He is out there looking like he gives a damn. The O-Line has zero fire, and if I see Rivera turn around and look like he didn't just hold on the flag he got thrown on him, I am going to throw-up. Today it was another poor tackling effort by our D-Line and another false start, holding, no blocking effort by our O-Line. I really have no idea what it takes to make this team come out of the tunnel with some fire and play a full 60 minutes of football on both sides of the ball. Besides Davis' hit early, I didn't see anything out of our defense. For all of the so-called talent we have on D, we played scared. Real shame....
