For the first time in American Men's Soccer history, the USA Men's Soccer National Team beat Mexico, 3-2, to win the 2021 CONCACAF Nations Championship!
Here are the extended championship game highlights:
What a great finals/championship game it was! Both teams came out on fire and played a tough match for all 90 minutes, plus extended time. Both teams should be proud of the effort they made. They left everything out on the field. For the first time ever, though, the USA Men's Soccer National Team finally beat their old storied rival, decades proven juggernaut Mexico and El Tri. Congratulations to both teams for a hard fought game and leaving us a match to remember.
Too bad, sadly, the game ended with one of the worst displays of crowd sportsmanship from the Mexican crowd. Absolutely inexcusable and dangerous reactions from the Mexican crowd at the end of the match almost derailed what was an amazing effort from both teams. Everything from chanting anti-gay rants to throwing bottles to both USA and Mexico players towards the end of the match.
