The 2019 NFL draft is upon us tonight starting at 6:00 pm CST, but unfortunately the Cowboys will not be participating in the first round, barring something major. For any fans that want to take solace, they can rest on the fact that the Cowboys have Amari Cooper, after trading for him from Oakland for this year’s first round draft pick, and he delivered in a big way by helping them get into the playoffs. Even with the Cowboys out of the first round, there are still plenty of rumors to track for the first round of the draft.

First round rumors

According to a report from ESPN's @AdamSchefter, the #Giants are among the two teams most interested in acquiring #Cardinals QB Josh Rosen. Here are the details, and what a deal might look like: https://t.co/5j12ASs6vv

  • Los Angeles Rams are getting calls to trade back into the first round to get that coveted fifth year option

At No. 31, the Rams already have received calls from teams interested in trading into the back of the first round, per sources. Teams value getting the fifth-year option in the contract’s of first-round picks, and the back of the draft tonight is likely to be fluid and busy.

  • Washington Commanders rumored to be in the market for a QB with Dan Snyder taking over the first round.

Just talked to a Commanders source who told me Dan Snyder has "taken over the first round of the draft."

The last time that happened the Commanders traded two future No. 1's and a No. 2 to move up for Robert Griffin.

The Commanders are not only in disagreement about whether to go quarterback with their top pick but which quarterback to select. While we know by now that Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder are fixated on Dwayne Haskins, there is a case being pled for Duke QB Daniel Jones per sources

  • Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans could be interested in moving up in the draft.

Don’t be surprised to see Carolina (with the No. 16 pick) and/or Houston (No. 23) make an effort to move up in the NFL draft.@AlbertBreer with his latest rumors and notes https://t.co/3jzWpiw990 pic.twitter.com/4tpPsDEYq1
