The 2021 NFL draft is less than two weeks away and the rumors are beginning to pile up. It’s time to take everything heard about the draft and Dallas Cowboys with a grain of salt, as it’s misinformation season. It’s anybody’s guess who the Cowboys like or if they’re willing to trade out of the No. 10 pick, those things might not be decided until they’re on the clock. That won’t stop the guessing on what the organization will do, however.
The mock drafts and rumors will keep coming, so it’s time to explore what trades might actually make sense. Let’s preface this exercise by saying it’s likely Jerry and Stephen Jones have begun having conversations with other teams about trading to expedite the process on draft night.
It should also be assumed there are players who might be available Dallas wouldn’t trade the right to draft. It’s unlikely that tight end Kyle Pitts will be there at 10, but if he is, it’s tough to believe the Cowboys wouldn’t use the pick and draft him.
