The Dallas Cowboys trimmed their roster down to 53 players on Saturday, moving on from several players many thought had a strong chance at making the regular season roster. Dreams weren’t all dashed, however, as players have a chance at being named to the practice squad.
With Covid-19 taking away the offseason and cancelling preseason games, there weren’t many opportunities for other clubs to take a peak at young players without experience. The waiver wire claims were much less than usual and only one Cowboys waiving was picked up by another team, DE Joe Jackson.
That means that several prospects are now eligible for the 16-man practice squad. Here’s a tracker to keep up with who is back in the fold at The Star.
