I agree with this assessment. The Giants grossly overpaid in free agency and then got blindsided in the draft. They wanted Jack Conklin and lost. Then they take Eli Apple over Vernon Hargreaves?

As for the Eagles, their entire draft is basically Carson Wentz, so it'll take a while to assess that. The Commanders had a nice haul; but I personally think the Cowboys are the most improved team in the division.

I don't get how Cowboys improved this year. Added Thornton, zeke and two dl that have potential because they were in the wrong system(similar to what was said about Ryan Russell I believe). What else did we do? If we had added the people that the Giants and/or Washington did through FA +draft this forum would be saying championship or bust.

What's the difference between this team and the 12-4 team?? If anything we have a more talented RB with a better stable.

Few more pieces on defense.

This team lives and dies with romo

I think it's a piece about teams that improved the most through FA and th draft and not a power rankings. Your right with a healthy romo/Dez/scandrick our team can hang with most teams but I don't think they did that much to improve this year

Improve to what standard? Superbowl, NFC Championship, NFC East Title, or 8-8? I think we have improved to have a shot at the NFC East Title. If Romo and Dez return to their previous form. We'll see though.

13th appears about right to me for a team that's attempting to rebound from a 4 win season and banking its 2nd round pick on a rehabber. Elliott should bolster the RB corps in grand style while maximizing offensive time on the play clock but the defense is still wanting badly. At the same time, we're left to constantly hope and pray that Romo doesn't lose significant time at QB, lest the offense suffers irreparable harm. 13th seems fair to me.

Our offseason strategy should have been.....Carson take the wheel. Take it from Tony's hands. Cause he just keeps breaking bones.

I actually really liked the way we've been approaching FA the last few years.
