The Cowboys got a bit of good news Tuesday with a tentative clearance for rookie running back Mike Weber. Weber left a Saturday session during the team’s rookie minicamp with a sore knee, and it was reported he would undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that for now the seventh-round pick from Ohio State looks to have dodged a bullet and will not require surgery at the moment.

The scope could come at a later time if Weber’s knee does not improve. Archer reports that after suffering the morning injury, Weber returned to the facility later that same afternoon to watch the team’s final workout.

The Cowboys will have OTAs each weekend starting at the end of May prior to their June minicamp.
