The Dallas Cowboys promoted Kellen Moore to run the offense as their offensive coordinator when they parted ways with former OC Scott Linehan back in January.
Moore, 30, told the media during Wednesdays OTA session that he will call plays from the sideline during the 2019 season. During 2018, Linehan got a lot of heat for calling plays from the coaching booth instead of being down on the sideline with the offense.
“I like the sideline, just being able to interact with the players and talk to Dak. I think it will be perfect. It’ll be good,” Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore said.

QB coach Jon Kitna will be the one up in the coaching booth during the games. Kitna will be able to relay anything he sees from up top to Moore during game action.
As a first-year offensive coordinator this could be a good thing for not just Moore, but for quarterback Dak Prescott too. This allows the two to communicate face to face about what they saw during the previous possession, instead of communicating through a headset.
