It’s not all good news here for the Dallas Cowboys on the night. Despite having a 21-7 lead as the first half winds down, there is a major injury concern. Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch is down after a collision with safety Jeff Heath and Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert.

His neck seemed to be placed in a compromised position when he went in for the hit.

Vander Esch left the field with the help of trainers and first went to the medical evaluation tent on the Cowboys’ sideline. He has since headed to the locker room under his own power, clapping a bit as he walked off. .

Vander Esch has three tackles, one of which was for a loss on the night and has looked more like himself than in previous weeks. Reserve linebacker Joe Thomas will replace him for the time being.
