The Dallas Cowboys are almost finished rounding out their staff for 2020 and with that, we finally know which direction things will lean. The club will infuse Kellen Moore’s version of the offense with Mike McCarthy’s insight and scheme and create a hybrid of the Coryell and West Coast attacks. On defense Mike Nolan, who has coached both 30 and 40 fronts will keep the team with four down linemen in base but run multiple defenses based on the opponent.

That flexibility should be very exciting to the fan base as well as McCarthy’s edict that players will be brought in based on their strengths, rather than eliminated from consideration based on their perceived weaknesses. Excuse me as I cry in T.J. Watt.

These revelations will begin the process of evaluating the club’s free agent list, one that is 30 names deep. The Cowboys have 25 unrestricted free agents, three restricted free agents (right of first refusal) and two more exclusive rights free agents (team controlled).

Here’s how we seem them being prioritized by McCarthy’s Cowboys. These rankings shouldn’t be looked at as absolute descriptions of talent or value. Moreover, they are combining talent, fit, expected cost and market value.
